a death by water overdose; how could the DJ's be so stupid?
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

But when a nurse calls on air and tells them that someone could die from it and the DJ says "Yes we are aware of that and the contestants have signed a release....blah blah blah" and then a girl says she isn't feeling well and has a headache and then turns up dead, I think someone should be held accountable for gross negligence. Even though the radio station fired 10 people including the DJ's involved it still doesn't settle the issue...

POLICE ARE NOW INVESTIGATING:
January 18, 2007 - The tragic death of a mother who took part in a water drinking contest to win a Nintendo Wii is now being investigated by police after they obtained a recording of the show in which the perpetrators of the poorly-planned contest showed blatant disregard for the safety of the competitors, even after being informed by a nurse who rang into the show that drinking excessive amounts of water in a short period of time can lead to 'water poisoning,' a symptom of which is death. On Tuesday the show was taken off the air and the staff involved fired, though the radio station now faces a wrongful death lawsuit from the victim's family.
