The Postal Service....Anyone listen to them?

This has been my new favorite group for the past year. Now that some of their songs are getting used in TV commercials (like the UPS commercial), they are starting to get some more notice. They are awesome!

Such Great Heights

We will become Sillhouettes

Brand New Colony

Nothing Better

^^Probably the coolest of their songs.

The district sleeps tonight

Sleeping in

Recycled Air

^^Awesome song

yea, they are awesome. The singer's first band was Death Cab for Cuite, which was also really good. They got the name the Postal Service because the DJ lived in Seattle and the Singer/songwriter lived in Califronia. They had never met before (they were introduced through friends) and started mailing tapes back and forth of samples and songs and stuff and they put the whole record together like that. Hence the name, the postal service.

Check out this guy doing a cover of Such Great Heights.

I can't believe it...this dude sounds friggin' killer! check out some of his other covers too.

The one album by Postal Service is great....much better choice than Metallica or the Emo P-Funk.

Sounds very much like Thom Yorke's solo stuff. Very melancholy electro.
