    Anyone know about building houses?

Funny I am asking this on a bodybuilding forum. I figure there might be a few carpenders or realestate agents in here. I found this plan a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with it.

The site says that their cost is $80/sq foot here in Texas. Seem a little cheap.
Any experts here know what the cost of building this plan would be. I have my own lot. The home building forums are not all that great so I thought I would try here.
    thanks

In Australia we built a similar house 5 years ago for $180000 base price excluding land.

So it doesn't seem too bad

This is so true depending on where you live it varies so much. A house you can buy here (in the middle of nowhere) you could buy for 150,000. But if it sat somewhere like St.Louis it would cost like 400,000. Thats so crazy to me. I remember going down Big Bend in St.Louis looking for houses and seeing houses that were much smaller than mine for like 100,000. And I paid like 60,000 for mine. I couldnt believe it.
