Mine is non existent. I'm to irresponsible to have a credit card as i would max it out in two weeks time.

I have a real nerdy side.

Baaaahhhhhhh wrong answer. You got one ... you should look it over. It'll be used by others to qualify you for insurance, eligibility to rent an apartment, or to even get licensed for some occupations.

I dunno, i've lived at home my whole life, never had anything under my name (car, insurance) and never had a credit card or anything of that sort. How does one go about looking up their credit score?

google FICO score and you will find a million sites. It's usually like $10 to get it. You can also get free annual credit reports from all 3 credit bureaus. Not a bad idea to make sure it's cleaned up

Good poll. I've recently started fixing my credit, and it's great. If anyone has debts or collections, get them paid off. Talk to the bank that you have a checking/savings at and get a small (like $500) credit card. Use it for small stuff, pay it off ASAP, and in six months you'll look much better.

Get another card in a few months with a higher limit and lower APR (preferably from the same bank), and you'll look even better. Just make sure you don't change your spending habits AT ALL. Instead of using your Check Card to buy a book, do it with your CC and pay it off and the end of the month.

Credit is easy if you just try.

Mine just skyrocketed because I had a CC collection fall off (my only black mark) it went from 650 to 725 in a matter of a week.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

another good trick is to get hold of the "big three" and dispute the credit checks on you. Less random people on your report checking your credit ups your score a few points as well.

Same here in the last couple years. I was stupid with credit in college! Now my score is 750. Buying a house was a great jump for it too!
