Thumbs up Top Five Bands!

Ok, this kind of thread has been done in that past, but we have several new members - so why not make a new one?

Plus I just like these threads, lawl.

So!

Top Five bands, try to avoid honorable mentions. Often people will list like 20 bands because they can't decide which ones to post. I want your top fives - period!

By the way, different people have different opinions and like different bands, deal with it.

By the way, I don't consider most Rap/Hip+Hop groups/artists as bands. I am talking about people who play instruments and write and perform their own music.

Otherwise I would say top five musical groups. Not shittin' on them, but I want to point that out.

I like Tool and A Perfect Circle. I hadn't listened to them up until recently. Sean got me into them.

Indeed sir!

This is one of my favourites, off Machine head, great instrumentation, even though this is not their best version.

The most epic tool song next to third eye live, is probably parabol/paraobola..

The first 4 minutes is soft, and the last 6 hard.

first minute is just some filler

Listen to it:

Yep pretty much

1.) Red Hot Chili Peppers
2.) John Frusciante

I still haven't decided on the last three but I think Metallica will be in there.

Well, if we are talking greatest of all time, you'd have to have The Beatles and The Stones in the first two slots. I would probably fill the other three (just personal taste here) Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Elvis Costello and the Attractions, and...gosh, um...Aerosmith? The Who? Led Zep? U2? Screw it. Let's go with the White Stripes.
