yes

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

Absolutely,I am in a show here in Branson and have had those "pre mature dismounts" on a couple occasions and was never hurt.It doesn't matter how good you can ride you will eventually come off.I could jump from one with ease and not get hurt.
I have established myself as a story that will be told there for years do to coming off of a horse. We were storming off our set one night at a dead run(We have an outdoor set ) and as I passed our dressing room I was getting some shit from my horse(who we properly named Snot).I pulled back but he put his head down and kept running until we were right up to our hitching posts. We hitch them up to on a concrete floor so when they crap the cleaning crew can scoop it up easily.Well if you know anything about horses you know they have a hard time running on concrete. So I decided to bail and as soon as I did Snot locked up and I landed on my back in a water trouph.Of course everything stopped and I had to tip the thing and spill myself out just to get up.Then when I began ranting everyone burst into laughter. The director got me a new gun and mic and I changed quickly and got back on to set. That night has become a story of legend.

Of course it is possible. I'm sure stunt people do it all the time, I'm sure the same can be said for jumping off a moving train.

I can't jump from a horse on a carousel without hurting myself.

I remember riding my grandpa's Arabian named Murphy, he took off one day straight at the barn, maybe because he was hungry and wanted the hay. Anyhow the doors were closed but he was in full gallopand I new if I didn't get off he would turn sideways and slam his body against the door because I've seen him do it before so I swung my leg back and dived landed on my shoulder and tucked and rolled to my feet. My dad came up behind me on the old mare cutting horse and started clapping....he said it looked like I've been doing it all my life, good thing for those Aikido classes.
