Post workout high.......please help

You know that elated feeling you have after you get done working out?
It's the mix of endorphins and highly oxygenated blood going through your system.
It is extremely intensified when on the juice........you feel like a God.
But even when not on the juice, I still feel euphoric. (I'm sure drinking espresso pre-wo has something to do with it)

anyways, I was doing some reading, and my post workout high symptoms all seem to correspond with symptoms of bipolar disorder, particularly the mania part of it.
I have never been to a therapist, but am going in two weeks to talk.

I was wondering if you guys/gals feel the same extreme euphoria that I feel after I'm done working out.......both on the juice or off of it.

If you guys have any input whatsoever I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.

You're a funny guy, Sully, I like you. Dat's why I'm going to kill you lahst.

Yes I do, but I'm probably bi-polar.....

I have some input...Stop looking for shit you have, I used to do that all of the time. You don't have anything, no one does, we just need reasons not to blame ourselves for the shit we are responsible for. And in closing, smoke some pot.

Oh, btw, that is not a knock on therapy, I think therapy can be very beneficial, I just hate that they need to label everything, A kid wants to play video games instead of study and he has ADD? Hell no, he's a fucking kid, deal with it or don't buy him video games.

Well flex, yo uare in luck, because I know exactly wha tyou are talking about, and I am 95% sure you are nto bi-polar.

Generally, mania also provokes racing thoughts and creative ideas. However, it also pushes sufferers into agitation and poor decisions. It can also lead to extreme frustration due to the fact that it often adds a false sense of success to people's lives. Classic symptoms of mania include fast, nonstop talking, pacing aimlessly, staring into space, irritability, and heavy interest in goal oriented activities. One with mania may complain of racing thoughts, hallucinations, music stuck in their head, and feelings of enlightenment. Mania is most usually associated with bipolar disorder, where episodes of mania may cyclically alternate with episodes of depression. (Note: Not all mania can be classified as bipolar disorder, as mania may result from other diseases or causes. However, bipolar disorder is the "classic" manic disease.) Hypomania is a less severe variant of mania, where there is less loss of control. Many creative talents with bipolar disorder associate mania and hypomania with creative ideas.
Now, lets the checklist:

Do you go 30 hours or more without sleep even thou you try to sleep?
Do you have hallucinations?
Do you talk really fast?
Do you suffer from prolonged lack of appetite?
Do you feel like you have super powers?
Do you sweet profusely for no reason when you feel good?

Most likely, you just have things going on in your life that are high and low on the emotion scale. Going from one high to a low to a high might seem bi-polar, but it isn’t quite the same. My brother and I knew we were fucked up from the get go. Lawl, a few weeks ago my brother attacked hic ceiling fan. I had to carry him to the emergency room, because he hadn’t sleep in 3 days and starting hallucinating pretty badly.

I think you will be ok soon. Just don’t swell on this stuff until you have to. You will know when “have to” comes around.

well that's what i'm saying....i think i DO have a lot of those symptoms....

-feeling high and superior (i feel like a million bucks and feel like i could die happy)

-provokes racing thoughts and creative ideas (i definitely get racing thoughts and creative ideas).

-pushes sufferers into agitation and poor decisions (i don't think i get agitated or make poor decisions)

-Classic symptoms of mania include fast, nonstop talking, (i do experience this)

-music stuck in their head (i do get this once in a while, but who doesn't?)

-feelings of enlightenment (i do feel enlightened as well, as if everything is right in the world)

Again, i realize the tons of endorphins that get released from my wo along with the double espresso i drink def. contributes to the high feelings i get, but i'm trying to figure out if i have "mania" or just a pwo high...

Note my username, I've suffered with this my whole life, I'll achieve really great things for a while then fall into doldrums for a while, I've just learned to ride the wave then swim back to my board and wait for the next wave.......

God damn it Manic, you stole my idea, lawl. I was thinking 2 days ago of changing my location to: "Riding the wave of productivity", and then you said the same thing basically.

But yeah, there are a lot of byproducts to bi-polar. Some good, some bad. I use to be a whinny bitch about the condition, but I am trying to have fun with it now. I have known few things as great as the first 2 days of a really hard manic switch. I feel like I just feel in love, won the lottery, and god gave me his powers all in the same day. My writing gets better, and the stories in my head become more real and insane. One day I am going to but the things in my head onto paper. I am also getting better at controlling the phase switching. If you are strong enough, you can let a low phase blow over without even feeling bad, then going ape shit nuts during the manic switch. I didn't give up, and now I am reaping the rewards for my dedication to myself. I know when a storm is brewing so to speak, so I go into my room and wait it out. Working out is better than medication for keeping things smooth.

People with bipolar almost always seek out drugs. I can’t speak for anyone else, but the only time I feel normal is when I am on the post powerful psycho-hallucinogenic drugs. Most people cry and freak out, fuck I go downtown and dance with chicks in clubs. They would never know either if it went for my pupils being the size of nickels.

Yeah, my life is weird, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

This is a serious question.....but are you talking about illegal drugs (ecstacy and shit) or prescription drugs (xanax, klonopin)

one thing i do notice, too, that makes me believe it's not bi-polar is that my "high" from last night's wo will last into this morning, but goes away towards the midday. Then i'm just very tired.
I think that's the huge release of endorphins all slowly going away.

I'm talking about stuff a 100 times more powerful than any of that stuff. I'm talking about LSD, Shrooms, Mescaline. I rarely ever fuck with recreational/prescription drugs anymore.

Trust me Flex, you are fine. You do not have biological problems, but you have real problems, or at least you feel like they are problems, in your life. No medication is going to fix you. If you are doing steroids, then your brain chemistry is out of wake, anyhow. You should do some reading if you really are concerned. Start here.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bipolar_disorder

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neurotransmitters

I have been reading about this stuff for years. I can probably answer most of the questions you have.

I do not like therapist. They are just as low and dirty as some regular Doctors. The is no money in a cure, so they will want to put you on every fucking medication known to man. Each medication will take a little more of your soul away. If you like being able to fuck, you will not like 95% of the meds they give you. If there was nothing wrong with you when you go to see him, there will be something wrong with you when you leave.

That's some serious shit. Haha I've fucked around with my share of illegal recs, but I drew the line at mesc and LSD. That's gotta make for some good times though.

I feel like a million bucks after a good training session. Hell i always said that someone should make a club (like a house music/dance club) with a gym inside. The post workout high is better than any drug i've ever taken.
EDIT: except shrooms.

People with bipolar almost always seek out drugs. I can’t speak for anyone else but the only time I feel normal is when I am on the post powerful psycho-hallucinogenic drugs. Most people cry and freak out, fuck I go downtown and dance with chicks in clubs. They would never know either if it went for my pupils being the size of nickels.

Yeah, my life is weird, but I wouldn't have it any other way.[/QUOTE]

Please tell us the name of these drugs?
