Are there any Jazz, or Fusion musicians here

Just was curious. In fact are there any musicians here at all involved in any type of music.

I enjoy Jazz, but i sure as hell cant play the stuff.

I do play bass guitar, and regular guitar (electric and acoustic) though. Been in a few bands. Currently recording a solo album, and an EP with a new Glam-Rock band.

I play free form jazz for myself on guitar....I've also made some Sun Ra like beats and melodies with computer aided music programs like Fruity Loops....I also write poetry that could be read over those jazz tunes...Someday I'll get it altogether and make my own collection...

Not bad, but a little limited. Pick yourself up an old copy of Logic 5 Platinum, with its superb virtual instruments and top quality audio sequencer. You'd be amazed at the difference.

I play guitar, acoustic mostly, I sing, and I have a ton of experience on studio mixing consoles, and editing programs. My favorite board is the Amek 9098, and I have a little Roland 1880 hard disk recorder at the house along with a Roland 808 Groovebox to make beats on. Haven't touched the stuff in way too long, but that's a story for another time....

I wish i could afford a board set up of some kind.

Right now im recording on a Line 6 Pod XT. Its awesome since its a direct input through USB, but dammit. I want a board!

Those are sequencer/samplers, and yes I would love that attachment.
