Hehhehehe, saw them live.

They sounded like a jumbled incoherent mess of instruments. The people tripping on hallucinagens liked it though.

Some of their album stuff is A-OK though.

sry, I wanted to get my view in. ehheheeeeeeee

I've seen all three versions of this band live.... At The Drive-In, Sparta, and Mars Volta. Mars Volta definitely puts on a trippy show, and Rolling Stone says they put on the best live show going. I wasn't on mushrooms so I was at a disadvantage. I liked their music better when they were At the Drive In.

I hope that donkey doesn't have a heinie troll!

Frusciante is a legend and can kick Omar's playing style any day of the week.

Case in point.

Great vocal range.
Good cover as well.

Great improv.

Well it is all opinion, but I think Frusciante is on a completely different level of muscianship and skill with his music. A more enlightened level.

I will say that the best solo on the latest MV album was JF's. hehehe

He's ok. He's no Mars Volta or Tool, but not bad.

Frusciante and Flea have both done extensive work on Mars Volta albums...

I saw them open for A Perfect Circle. Music, not bad. The show they put on was pretty cool though.

Well, I will disagree.

But there is no real point in arguing this sort of thing because it is simply something that can't be argued.
