However, another point here. If someone who was black chose to attend a church that had the exact same credo except with black substituted for white, they certainly wouldn't be called racist. Why is this racist because the person is choosing to support the white community?

And yes, I realize that presidential candidates should be held to a higher standard but look at the guy in office now.

In my opinion if minorities are trying to better there chances of survival and just plain better themselves then it's not racist...

On the other hand when a majority, which whites are the majority in America, is only looking out for themselves then that is selfish and racist...

That is absolute 100% bullshit. It's those very "principles" that are causing racism. Establishing boundaries based race is the very definition of racism. If this is truely the credo of Obama's church then he's even more of a scumbag than I already thought he was.

That was exactly what I was about to say. There are fucked up rules and credos for all sorts of organizations that nobody takes seriously.

Maybe Obama liked the people who attended the church. I know that is how every religious person I have ever met selects their house of worship. They find a church with people they like, and they go there.

Church is a social order, just like everything else.

But, it is very telling to see people jump to conclusions when the man has NEVER in his entire career pulled the race card.

Yep, he's going to catch it from the whites because he looks black and he's going to catch it from the blacks because he hasn't (so far) endorsed any of the "I'm black so I need a free ride" mentality.
