Well considering it's Winter and you live in California, I suggest going somewhere for a skiing/snowboarding trip. Perhaps Colorado and the Rockies?

No Milk, no.
Milk is for babies. When you grow up, you have to drink beer.

Yes, they are BEAUTIFUL!

I spent a decade driving to both Tahoe (10 hours) and Mammoth (6 hrs) to be in the snow with my ex. It was pretty. I had some nice times. I just would never...ever go by my own choice. If I was invited, I would go.

Both are great in the summer!!! I spent 10 years going to Tahoe ever summer for 2-4 weeks. I miss it...

No snow for this trip...

I have a free plane ticket...I want to FLY somewhere...............

I'd like to go back to Thailand, you can live like a King/Queen there for little money...even have a maid, butler and chauffeur, you can get a massage everyday, go on jungle hikes or see Buddhist temple ruins, the beaches are lovely...you can take boat rides to see all of the sea caverns along the shoreline...at night you can go watch Muay Thai boxing matches

Wow... I looked online at some places. There were 5 Star type places to stay...open and relaxing...for about $100/night!!!!!!!!!! It looks amazing.

I didn't know where exactly in Thailand to look. Where did you go?

The flight was much too expensive for my $250 free ticket! lol

But, I'm going to keep this is mind for one day...........

I'm thoroughly confused now. After thinking about the beauty and spirituality of places like Alaska and Thailand... I started looking at more 'spiritual' places like Arizona...or beautiful like Wyoming.

And then there's always Austin.......

The hotels in NYC are EXPENSIVE!!!!!!! OMG! For a 1 star place...it was over $100...all the decent places were near $250-300. Dang. That's worse than Cali.

My 'free' little get-a-way is not working out to be so 'free'...

You could go dog sledding in alberta- the Canadian Rockies- a very beautiful place. Benefit from American to Canadian exchange rate. Stay at Banff and go snowshoeing, snowboarding, skiing whatever...

Tahoe is great.. it seems whenever I went someone was getting married. When I lived in Reno I always took that place for granted. I've never been to Mammoth but I have heard a great deal about it from a ski bunny friend of mine. I've never been to Mount Rose for that matter either .
