Who Feeds their dogs Bully Sticks?

My dogs love them! They cherish them and can't get enough. These things are super super expensive though for a dog treat but they last a very long time, especially for my little pups. They smell aweful too but they enjoy them.

Anyway, I thought it was a beef tendon and yesterday I found out what they really are........a Bull's Dick!

Is that like an Arizona thing ?

Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.

I don't really care LOL! They are all natural products and my dogs love em' I'm actually trying to find a site that sells them at bulk because of the cost in the pet stores.

I feed my dogs organic natural raw food diets so this is actually a great thing. I thought they were tendons and was OK with that but knowing they are bull dicks is better because at least it's an all natural meat chew The poor bulls though........

I give my dogs those pig ears made of peanut butter, they also get carrots. Sometimes I get them these raw hides wrapped around a red meaty center...they fight over them...

Our dog loves them. She is not allowed to eat them in our bed though. She must sit on her dog bed in our dining room while she eats it.

Bully sticks are good for your dog's teeth.

i'd find out how they make it odor free, it might not be a healthy process and the scent is probably part of what the dogs like.

I read that it's actually healthier that they don't smell so bad. The less odor to them, the more natural. They came from cattle that are free range, no hormone and no antibiotics

For anyone interested......

Good deals seeing that they typically go for $3.50 each for 6" stick at the pet store.

good, i was thinking odor free might mean chemically altered. not sure if this is accurate but it seems fishy that just free range would take the smell out of something stinky.

I had the option of buying the odor free ones, but the odor is removed by using bleach and the residue of bleach is very hard on a dog’s digestive track. So---I put up with the odor.

Yeah, I was thinking that but it turns out that the odor is caused from chemically altered steer instead

Women holding a discussion about buying dick in bulk and feeding it to their dogs ... where else can a guy get this kind of outstanding entertainment value but right here at IM?

Yeah, I did read about some of those. The ones I've found say virtually odor free but it doesn't mean odorless. Some of the sites I found said "special manufacturing leave them odorless". No way, am I giving my dogs those. Then I read that less odor ones comes from free range so I'm going with those

i found a lot of sites that merely say stuff like "because we process them correctly they are odor free" without saying what that process is. my parents have lost two dogs to cancer and i'm convinced it's from toxic chemicals in food and treats. products like the frontline flea treatment i think were part of it too, they used it on 3 dogs n all developed tumors.

Yeah, I do feed raw but I don't make it myself

http://www.thehonestkitchen.com/

This is so easy because it's all prepared and all you have to do is add hot water and any additional meat. I'll add cooked chicken, raw fish, cooked fish, or raw beef. Most of the time it's cooked chicken. All the other ingredients in the food is raw. My vet (holistic vet) said this is the best food ever for them.
