“I was going to have a few comments on ...ALBOB, but it turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word ‘faggot–so….’"

You know you're right ALBOB. I guess I should read with a touch more comprehension.

IF....IF

If X then Y

If I discussed Edwards then I would have to enter rehab b/c I'd have to use the word faggot in discussing him. Why?

B/c apparently he's a faggot.

Come on AL you're better than this. A man of scotch always is.

I wish the liberals would have gotten just as upset when John Kerry called our soldiers stupid.

Or when Dick Durbin compared our soldiers to Nazis, Soviets in gulags, etc.

Democratic Sen. John Kerry warned students in a campaign speech last night that if they don't study hard and get a good education they might "get stuck in Iraq."

Lawl!

The solders are just pawns in the game.

They tend to come from rural areas and their parents are of lower socio-economic status that the civilians.

I don't think the soldiers are stupid.

But they are definitely expendable.

The U.S. goverment does not want middle class and upper class kids getting killed. It would cause more politically active parents to speak out too much, perhaps.

Note: Only 1 member of the 435 House members has a son/daughter in Iraq.

It's always been this way in history, in almost all nations.

The poorest neighborhoods provided 18 percent of recruits in prewar 1999 and 14.6 percent in 2003. By contrast, areas where household incomes ranged from $30,000 to $200,000 provided more than 85 percent.

As for education, many of my friends joined the military because they couldn't afford college, and opted out of heavy student loans.

Again, how many of our Congressmen and women have their kids in Iraq?

I didn't see a tape of her comment, I read a quote on a different website. If what you quoted is correct then I stand corrected.

I've heard this dumbass question/statement so many times I could puke. Who gives a fuck? What the Hell difference does it make??? The military is a great opportunity for anyone who wants/needs to take advantage of it. Quite frankly, I'm glad Congressional kids are chosing not to join; for two reasons. #1 They would probably get in and act like they are above every one else and demand special treatment. I saw that a few dozen times from children of high ranking officers. #2 The Congressional parents may very well base national security decisions on how it would affect their child. That we can NOT have.

"it depends on what the definition of 'is' is."

"I did not have sexual relations with that woman"

C'mon Decker, your party is the master of manipulating linguistics, but that doesn't mean you are the only one who can do it.

Technically, she didn't call him a faggot.

You know, I think I have finally figured out what Democrats' problem is. They actually resent success. Anyone who can use "wealth" or "corporate" as a negative has real issues.

There once was a time when people valued hard work. People had a moral center, and self reliance was a virtue. Now people rely on their government to think for them and provide for them. They rely on the government to plan their retirement, to pitiful effect, and then complain that the government isn't planning their health care. People like this use "wealth" in a derogatory tone.

By the way, Keith Olberman is an elitist piece of shit who looks like he should be selling clothes and Express for Men. Moreover, he is one intellectual notch above Nancy Grace. He looked like a mumbling bum next to Chris Matthews when they covered the state of the union.
