Criteria: -The opening riff is usually the most memorable part of the song, and although not
always difficult to play, it's enough to determine the lasting appeal of these recordings.

Meh, I hate these top 100 things.

Instead of top 100 greatest rock riffs it should be called, "100 top riffs that noobs will play horribley on their guitar to try to impress you"

I am very biased, not a fan of Greenday. However, that is a neat line.

If I were going to list top 100 bass lines it would be super biased. A ton of Flea and Jaco.

Oh there are defintely better ones out there, but I'm willing to bet that would be right up there on one of those generic top 100 lists. No doubt Flea and Les Claypool are amongst my top few.

I always have the habit of doing this early on the weekends, just to stir things up a bit.

I feel like I am lead off hitter getting on base while I let the big hitters get me to home plate for to score.

By the way, Dale is a switch hitter.

    Ooo good one.

I'd say Red Hot Chili Pepper's "I could have lied" solo would be up there. IMO anyway.
