    Ridiculous things you do...

Everytime I mention some things like this to someone else, they blurt out "YES! THAT SHIT ALWAYS HAPPENS, I HATE IT!!"

So maybe Ill share my few lil things and after hearing others', Ill be able to blurt out the same shit.

Laying in bed, partially or totally asleep. Then having some sort of dream or thought about falling off the side of the bed, only I am in the middle. Either way, I react as if I am falling...in the middle of the fucking bed. I shake and shift, awaken, and laugh.

Waking up wondering, why the hell didnt the alarm clock go off? Havent I been sleeping a lot? Then look at the alarm clock and the fucker is within 5 min of going off.

Waking up 1-2 hours naturally, earlier than the alarm clock is supposed to go off. Even though I am more awake than usual, I say, why not get the extra 2 hours of sleep? I go back to sleep, 2 hours go by, the alarm clock goes off, and I am more tired than I have ever been.

(This doesnt happen anymore) Going to sleep early in the evening when there is still light out. I wake up in the middle of the evening when its dark, look at the clock, seeing that its 7 o clock, panic, and rush out of bed. When I get out to the kitchen, I finally realize its 7PM and not 7AM. I laugh or cry, its always one of them.

Lying perfectly still, very relaxed, and comfortable, then suddenly shaking....sort of like a jerky movement, for a split second, and being wide awake because of it????????

Hard to describe..........like suddenly every muscle 'jumps', its over in 1\10th of a second.

Where I get waked up from a deep sleep in the early morning and someone says something to me. After I wake up I have no recollection of it happening when later approached approached about it.

I did something similar 3-4 nights ago. Was asleep for about an hour when I jumped straight up and started smacking the bed with my hand. I only vaguely remember this but my fiance said I was trying to hit a lizard...

Wow, that is amazing. I thought that only happened to me. Especially the one about waking up and wondering why my alarm clock didn't go off and then realizing it's gonna go off in 2 minutes.

Here's one that would happen to me all the time: I would go out drinking after work and when I'd get home drunk I would forget to set the alarm, but luckily I would wake up exactly when the alarm clock would of gone off. That would happen all the time to me but most times I was so hungover I wish I wouldn't of woke up at all.

That reminds me of another one.

Getting to bed really late and REALLY drunk. Waking up 3-4 hours later, shattered, hungover and ill. But not being able to et back to sleep, no matter what. This has happend before, getting home about 7-8am, falling asleep, waking up at 11, I've found myself taking sleeping pills and then waking up at 7pm, completly out of synch.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myoclonic_twitch

Myoclonic seizures can be described as 'jumps'. They are caused by rapid contraction and relaxation of the muscles. People without epilepsy can suffer small but similar jerks in the form of hiccups or brief twitches; these are perfectly normal.

In someone with epilepsy, myoclonic seizures cause abnormal movements on both sides of the body at the same time. In reflex epilepsies, myoclonic seizures can be brought on by flashing lights or other environmental triggers. (See photosensitive epilepsy.)

Familiar examples of normal myoclonus include hiccups and hypnic jerks that some people experience while drifting off to sleep. A similar but distinguishable type of jerk is often experienced during meditation. Severe cases of pathologic myoclonus can distort movement and severely limit a person's ability to eat, talk, and walk. Myoclonic jerks commonly occur in individuals with epilepsy. The most common types of myoclonus include action, cortical reflex, essential, palatal, progressive myoclonus epilepsy, reticular reflex, sleep, and stimulus-sensitive.

Sleep myoclonus occurs during the initial phases of sleep, especially at the moment of dropping off to sleep. Some forms appear to be stimulus-sensitive. Some persons with sleep myoclonus are rarely troubled by, or need treatment for, the condition. However, myoclonus may be a symptom in more complex and disturbing sleep disorders, such as restless legs syndrome, and may require treatment by a doctor.

Waking up in a depressed mood after having a really emotionally draining dream about something. Then, a bit later, sat at your desk in the office it suddenly dawns on you that everything is okay, it isn't reality.

It has only happened once to me but it slightly freaked me out!

Falling asleep at 11:30 or so. Waking up half an hour later and looking at the clock, freak out because you think it's 12pm the next day. Sit in a daze of confusion for 5 minutes while you turn on the television to the channel guide to see if it's AM or PM, then crawl back into bed confused...

Yeah, I've been having these dreams where I kill one of my friends and I'm real worried that I'll go to jail for the rest of my life. When I wake up I'm freaked out for a while because I have this weird feeling that I'm gonna go to jail.

I suppose having dreams about killing my friends probably means I'm fucked up but I know, I don't want kill them in real life.

Just happened today actually; went to bed drunk and woke up a minute before my alarm was supposed to go off. I did remember to set it last night though.

Haha ya... once I woke up and thought to myself "Oh my God.... I just killed two people!" I then spent like 30 seconds thinking about the raminifications and feeling guilt before I realised it was just a dream.

Not being able to fucking sleep for hours straight, eventhough you've only slept an average of 5h a night last weeks, because you have some kind of sleep syndrome.

That sucks. It seems sometimes that even on about 4 hours sleep over 2 nights, that you seem to stay awake, even though you are exhausted.

Heres one most of you I KNOW wont agree with..

Putting Heinz Ketchup in the refridgerator when it doesnt say anywhere on the bottle that it needs refridgeration. Neither does Huntz.

I never understood putting something cold on something hot. Think about it, ketchup packs are room temperature.
