    I'd go with 802.11 N now.

But if it's cheap you want, it's cheap you get:

Get a new PCMCIA or PCI-X, or PCI card, etc.

Wireless G should be good enough for most of your needs. I don't think it is work the price difference to go to N right now.

You need a super G card to get the 108 mbits out of it, which real world is like 10. Blah, I like linksys better because I'm used to the firmware, but most wifi routers/ap's suck and are no reliable, unless you go with an aironet. Then again you just want to look at porn on your psp, get it.

Hack the AP with a computer running airsnort, or kismet, and then use the wep key on the PSP.

For cheap and still ok wireless router - Linksys WRT54GX2. Definately the best budget router. You can get this for around $60.

Excellent router for the price if you can find them. Linksys has been pumping out the versions 5 and 6 which suck balls, but if you can find a version 1-5 you are in good shape.

thought about that months ago, but I can't because my pc doesn't have a device to pick-up wireless signals, gotta buy one of those usb adapters.. better off just buying a router.

Which means the same thing as refurbished.

Netgear is a good brand, I sell a lot of them at my electronics store (I am in sales). And I never hear complaints about them.

Go with linksys if you don't mind paying extra.
Or go with netgear for overall quality and price.

Edit- A new version of this router is actually very nice.
Notice that it is a SuperG, it has 108 mbps versus the standard G of 54 mbps.

Some people will tell you that its pointless to go higher because you can only get the internet at 10mbps max.
It's simply not true, the speeds are noticeable.
