    Gambling

Do you gamble? If so, what do you gamble on? And when do you gamble (at what odds is the worst you will bet on)? Do you bet big?

I have occassionally bet on boxing over at Pinnacle Sports, but only when the odds are huge in favor of someone I know will lose (Antonio Tarver vs Bernard Hopkins, with 3:1 odds in favor of the loser). I don't bet big, although I wish I had with the Tarver-Hopkins fight, but I am too chicken. Share some of your experiences.. big wins, big losses, and whatnot.

I use to gamble alot on bodog, UFC fights, football, boxing. I usually bet 5-10 bucks a bet, Ill bet in all sorts of odds depending on how I feel. The biggest win for me was total of 120 bucks riding the George Mason Train last year, I kept betting thinking they would just cover the spread but they won.

I have tried on occasion, but I hated every second of it. I couldn't get the thought out of my head that I stand a chance of losing money that I worked for.
My friends had bugged me until I finally agreed to go to the Casino. I gambled at the roulette wheel for 4 hours playing as safe as possible, and I lost 50 bucks with 5 dollar minimums. Not bad compared to some, but the whole way home I was pissed off thinking about what I could have bought with that $50.00.

I play online poker, that's probably as close to gambling as I get. And even then it's for 10 cent blinds.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

Now that I think of it, I usually do Powerball whenever it's over $150 million. I'm talking bigger stakes though... not $5 or less type "gambling" powerball or poker night with the boys, etc..

Roulette has the worst odds of any table game.

I love blackjack, but only play on special occasions. If we have company from out of town or are out celebrating a birthday I'll play. Other than that I keep it in my pants..................................My wallet, I keep my WALLET in my pants.

Yes, I love to gamble. I play mainly blackjack and craps. I play 2-3 times a year and it's my way to relax. I have an average bet with Cesar's now of $60 per. That seems a bit inflated to me but I do play progressive so it can get pretty high.

    poker was never illegal.

the law that was passed forced banks to not accept funds to and from poker sites. Meanwhile horse racing and sportsbook type were allowed.....go figure......your laws are fucked up. Not to mention that bill was attached to a port security bill.

PokerStars and Full Tilt are the two major sites that accept American players at the moment.

    ya roulette is pretty bad.

Casino's are bad in general. Why the hell would anyone bet their hard earned money when the odds are stacked against them??? I think it's pretty retarded.

How so? If you bet on off/even black/red every time, you have a 46-45% chance of winning. That is way better than the slots.

... because it's fun to try and beat the odds

Nothing like the adrenaline rush you get walking up to a roulette table and dropping a $100 chip on red.

I only gamble in Vegas and even then I rarely lose more than $1000 on a trip and this money is always just money that I won playing poker.

Mostly I just play poker online. I have played anywhere from $0.05/0.10 blinds to $20/40. I don't really consider it gambling though. I have only ever deposited money once... $100 about 4 years ago

Seems fairly simple to me. People gamble for the thrill and excitement. No differently than any other form of excitement I guess. People pay to go on all kinds of adventures. Do you know of another form of recreational excitement that can be profitable?

Plus there's the strategy involved as well. There's a lot of different ways to increase your odds at every game. Finding them and implementing them is the fun part.

I understand that those are the reasons people do it, but it just doesn't work for me. Yet another reason I believe I am an alien from outer space.

poker can be real profitable....if your doing good, you should keep at it.

me I do okay, enough extra bucks in my pocket to spend, not good enough to make a living off it though. A friend of mine has won 1 million + in the last twelve months playing online.

I think everyone should give poker a shot. There's freerolls on many sites where you can win money. - some people have that poker instinct in them, and do really good right off the bat. You'd never know if you have it or not unless you try, and it's not like you have anything to lose, it's freerolls.

I'm having a hard time finding new sites that have good betting lines for boxing. Anyone know of sites that will accept U.S. deposits from Citibank or Chase cards (without a fee if possible)?

I missed out on an easy $125 on the Barrera/Marquez fight because of this.
