I used openoffice for a long time, but I found with excel people I work with use way too many of the special functions that just didn't come through well on Calc, their version of Excel....so I had to install it...

Gig and a half? Sheesh. I use Office 2000 and together it doesn't use up more than 150MB.

I used open office longer than you. For so long I used to use it when it was called Star Office.

Thats when I used it, I used to do my Power Points for school on it, people in class used to wonder why mine didn't have that M$ look to them, I used to use to have a dual boot MS/Mandrake setup on all 4 of my PC's and my laptop
