100% true. I have done massive amounts of "scary" addictive drugs and never felt addicted in any way. I picked and chose without the slightest trouble. Now, video games on the other hand was tough. It took all of my will power to stop playing games like Warcraft.

I suppose each person has their own brand of poison.

Sure can. Not sure what you mean by addiction, but if you imply psychological addiction, they yes, everything.

I had an argument with a kid that was saying you can't get addicted to weed, and I told him you can get addicted to anything, and everyone says I am wrong, well I shouldn't have made the not so good example, "you can get addicted to licking shit off peoples shoes" (just to make my point) didn't turn out so good

YES you can. It all depends; some get addicted to drugs or alcohol, some to porn, some to mallesting(sp?) children and some to work. There are a million different things people can get addicted to, but luckily some have the willpower to quit. I have an addictive personality and it's hard for me to quit certain things; like tobacco, alcohol and midget porn. Luckily I was able to quit doing coke, pot, x, acid, schrooms etc....

People will say it's all in your head until they find what they become easily addicted to.

There was a kid in 5th grade who was addicted to picking his nose and eating his boogers.....

Anything that triggers the reward center in your brain hard enough can become an addictive habit, of course not all addictions are bad. I remember when I was addicted to lifting weights, I could barely sit still on my off days....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Exactly, there are really small things that people get addicted to as well. Personally, I have been addicted to picking at my fingers since I was a little kid. I still can't not do this, and it sucks. No matter how hard I try I can't kick this ridiculous habit.

I have an addictive personality. I get obsessive over pretty much everything. Thats one of the reasons why ill never try any drugs or ciggarettes.

I started drinking at 13 and buy the time i quit at 16 i was drinking every single day. At 15 a 70cl bottle of Jack Daniels would barely phase me, and this was when i weighed 100lbs or something stupid.

Ive made it a point this last few years to strengthen my willpower though, so im pretty good at resisting stuff at this point. Though it does have the side effect of making me seem incredibly cold at times.

I did start drinking again at one point, but that was when i really started getting serious about training so i quit it again. That was about 18 months ago.

But yeah. Im currently addicted to porn, F.E.A.R., and playing the electric guitar \m/.

Hahaha, i hear you on that. I cant stop cleaning under my nails. It feels like theres always something there. I once did it for about 45 minutes and my nails were throbbing like hell, and about 3 of them were bleeding.

    Well not anything

For example, I think it would be almost impossible to get addicted to skydiving without a parachute
