why is this guy wearing one glove?? and why did he forfeit? and I thought boxing was a good MA for fighting

Who knows. Fighters wore same weird shit back in the old UFC days. And there's no way to really tell why he quit. There were no replays and the commentators didn't say. He could have bit him for all we know. Maybe an arm triangle. That was from UFC 1.

He quit because he was scared. Old UFC promoted sytle match-ups, so this was bjj vs boxing. Jimmerson was on his back and mounted so he panicked and tapped. Why he only wore one glove thoguh I can't say. Perhaps he thought he could grapple or clinch with one non-gloved hand. But I'm sure it made it easy for Royce to tell which hand he was going to strike with.
