Holy crap, that spoon guy was awesome, and I liked the song. I need to find a cd quality version of that.

Spoon guy could easily use a large ring and do slides without the spoon in his mouth, thats how a lot of the old blues guys did it....but the foot guy has no other option but to play with his feet....

    Both did well though...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

    I don't think so.

He'd need another hand to do the ring thing. He is playing open cords at the top of the neck and using the spoon to play a lead on top of that on the higher frets.

In Texas I used to hang out at this mostly black shack of a bar called the Dew Drop and some nights they would have live blues with old black dudes playing guitar and singing, this one guy used to play slides/frets with a ring on his thumb, he had huge hands that engulfed the neck and could be chording with his fingers and slide all over with his thumb....then there was one younger dude who would play with a beer bottle in his mouth and could do the same things the spoon dude was doing.......blues guys are infamous for making up those new gimmicks. Go into the juke joints all over the south and you'll find some awesome talent that sadly hardly many will hear since the hoi polloi are in love with the babbling of morons over repetitive noise....

Lawl, sorry if I what you thought I meant was that there weren't blues guys who play like that.

I meant the spoon guy couldn't be hitting those notes a ring on a finger rather than a spoon.
