as of friday they were still not sure how it got there. it wouldn't surprise me if PETA is behind this.
Scroll down the list and look for your brand then follow the links. Take this seriously ... your dog or cat food brand is probably on there.

Don't look back ~ You're not going that way!
It is rat poison, it is not dog poison or cat poison.![]()
The test rat ate the rat poison like candy and survived ... it will also kill bunnies![]()

My dogs get the expensive stuff that would make Jodi proud, it has chicken, lamb, sweet potatoes, barley, flaxseed...etc. All bodybulider approved nutrition...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
If it's rat poison on the wheat I wonder why dry food wasn't affected more. Glad I don't feed my dog wet food though I feed him table scraps which is probably equally as bad.
Also, pets are property so you can only sue for actual damages and not emotional or punative damages right?
Another recall for some pet treats: ABC News: Pet Treats With Salmonella Recalled
For those interested.....I use an all natural holistic blend made from raw foods. It only requires warm water to be added and any additional meats if you choose. You can gurantee you will never find this food on the recall list: The Honest Kitchen : Dehydrated Raw Pet Food With Passion and Principles

One of the brands I use is Wellness, it's expensive but I wouldn't trust those mass-produced foods for just the reasons we are seeing now...
Wellness Ingredients:
Deboned Chicken, Chicken Meal, Oatmeal, Ground Barley, Ground Brown Rice, Rice Bran (from brown rice), Rye Flour, Canola Oil (preserved with mixed tocopherols, a natural source of vitamin E), Whitefish, Tomatoes (natural source of lycopene), Natural Chicken Flavor, Flaxseed, Ground Millet, Carrots, Apples, Spinach, Blueberries, Sweet Potatoes, Calcium Carbonate, Dicalcium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride

Update.
Were Our Pets Deliberately Poisoned?
FDA says a chemical linked to the deaths and illnesses of hundreds of dogs and cats may have been intentionally added to an ingredient in pet food to artificially enhance its protein levels
