    Discovery HD

Has anyone been watching this planet earth show on Discovery HD? This is the most amazing shit ever, it looks absolutely stunning on a HD tv. I've been hooked for like the last 4 hours, it is just so overwhelming how great it looks.

Not watching it in HD and it is still overwheming, especially those stabilized helicopter shots...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

That slow-mo shot of the killer whale catching dinner as it jumped out and hung above the ocean waters was stunning ...

I like when they showed the animals in Africa heading towards the swamp, they rarely show that side of Africa, they always make it out to be dried up and dead. I liked how they showed the water creeping along in little streamlets and the catfish in shallows eating the newly evacuated bugs...The baboons crossing the water with arms up like people do when they wade through waste deep water was hilarious...

Those birds were awesome. I've never seen something like that before. I liked seeing the snow leopard chase that deer thing down the side of a mountain.
