    Girls, Need Your Opinion (flowers)

Four different bouquets to choose from.. what do you like?

    California Sunshine Mixed Asiatic Lilies

    15 Stem Mixed Iris Bouquet

    15 Stem Mixed Tulip Bouquet

    Pink Tulips with Free Vase

Not really for any special occassion. The girl I'm seeing is moving into a new place and I thought I'd send her some flowers. I want to place the order today so I can have them there by Wednesday.

So far, I have them ranked in order of what a friend has told me she liked.

Also, I know this is really lame to ask and I know I'm going to catch some flak for it, but some of you have said you are better writers than you are talkers. To get straight to the point, I'm not sure what to write on the card. I have up to 230 characters.

This is what I have so far:
"Congratulations on the new place, Nina! I thought I'd send you some flowers as a housewarming gift and because I miss you. These will go perfect with your Sesame Street walls. I love you, baby. -Kent"

Not sure if the whole "Congratulations on the new place" sounds right, since she's just moving into a new apartment with a friend, but she has been really excited about it. And the whole "Sesame Street walls" is kind of an inside joke. She has been painting the walls in her place all different kinds of colors and she said her place looks like Sesame Street and the flowers are colorful, so.... I know, lame.. but at least she'll know it was written by me .

I meant your opinion. Sorry, didn't catch the edit. So that's +0.5 for the 15 Stem Mixed Tulips (guys' opinions carry half the weight as girls in this thread).

i like the pink tulips... but then again i'd never go for sesame street walls flowers are great but plants make a home warmer and for the same price as the boquet you can get something that will last. plants are great house warming gifts.

Thanks Little Wing! I should probably elaborate on the whole "Sesame Street walls" thing. It isn't Sesame Street wallpaper, it's just that her walls are all different kinds of colors, she feels it's like walking down Sesame Street. Her kitchen is red, bedroom is green tea, bathroom is yellow, family room is bright blue, etc.. Thanks for the plant suggestion, but I'm not sure that's her thing. I know she likes flowers though and I wanted to get her something other than the typical roses.

And the jokes just write themselves!
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group

about another group that actually does something

If you're going for Sesame St. theme then the red/yellow Asiatic Lilies would work well, since Big Bird is yellow, Bert and Ernie would match, Elmo, etc.

"These flowers are a tribute to your new pad"...????

"As a blessing for your new abode, I offer these lilies which will compliment your Sesame Street theme....blah blah wooof woof..."

but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I ended up going with the California Sunshine Mixed Asiatic Lilies (first one). It was the first pick of every friend I asked outside of the forums (two girls my age, and a gay dude). The gay dude said tulips are typically seen as more of a gift from just a friend. Anyway, he's gay and in the interior design field so I assume he knows what's he talking about .

    Thanks for everyone's opinions!

i'm a sucker for that stuff. My wife and I were separated until I started realizing that they eat that kind of stuff up like candy. It's really important to them. But the trick is to be genuine.

This is true. You also need to make sure you don't overdo it. You give them too much of something and it doesn't mean anything anymore. And I am genuine!
