The Smurfs and Communism - interesting reads
I found this by chance but it is quite interesting
The Smurfs and communism - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Smurf's Communist Leanings A lot of it is coincidence but does make for an interesting read.
I love it when a plan comes together.

I always, even as a child, thought of them as a self-sustaining tribal community which had to be that way due to their need to stay hidden....it's not like they could set up a trade agreement with humans since they would become exploited like Garagmel wanted to do....They always seemed like Native American Indians because of their oneness with nature, and with Papa Smurf as the Tribal Elder and Shaman making magic potions and casting spells. I also recall an episode when Greedy made himself King so that shows that they do sometimes stray from a communal life....

I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that."

Also not all of them were good at their jobs like Harmony Smurf who sucked at playing music yet they took care of him, thats more like our welfare system supporting people who can't get by doing a job that they have chosen because they think they are good at it...ther's also Lazy Smurf and Vanity Smurf, what did they actually offer to the group?

I actually saw something on TV about this not too long ago. I didn't realize at that point that the Smurfs weren't an American cartoon.

I am actually watching Smurfs again, since two weeks ago cable tv is showing them again. I really like it. But I always considered smurfs to be mystical creatures from europe and not communism. Well I not always thought that, probably I didnt think about this when I was growing up. But many countries in europe believe in small magical creature that live in the woods.
Manic do you think that a drug reference is possible too? Did you see those woods and their house? |

yup. the mystery mobile would have that little smoke stack on the top that would be smoking everytime they drove the car. once they got out, shaggy and scooby would have the munchies. they were always paranoid too.

Everyone in the 420 culture laughs about that. Scooby snack=weed. "Wanna scooby snack?" = want to get stoned?
