    Mexican Vacation

My friends and I are looking to take a trip to Mexico. We're most interested in the all-inclusive spots, but open to other options. Anyone been down there? Which city should we be staying in? Just looking to drink and lay on the beach or poolside.

I'll go when all the Mexicans are already here.

Just got back for Plya Del Carmen. Stayed at the Iberostar Tucan resort. All inclusive. Place is really nice. We were doing other things but you can just sit on the beach and relax. i would suggest it, but some say it was pricey.

Yeah, we were looking at the Royal Playa Del Carmen. It looks really nice. How was the weather?

I've been to Mexico a few times.

My best trip was taking a bus from the border of Guatemala to the border of Texas.

    Great trip.

Good food, lots of mountains, nice people, practicing spanish, visiting many historical places.

Make sure you give yourself at least 3 months, or otherwise wait until you get the time.

The weather was great. It rained hard for approximatley 5 minutes one day, but then it was all sun, and around 80.

Why would anyone want to go to Mexico? I mean with the droves of people trying to escape from there something tells me it must not be much fun there....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Thats exactly what I said to my wife. We have people literaly willing to die to get out of that country and you want me to pay to go in it???

It was strange. The resorts were excelent, everyone very nice, helpfull, etc. The drive from the airport to the resort was a real wakeup to the shit hole conditioins they live in. As they say, don't go off the resort unless you are going on a guided tour and you will have a fine time.
