    Rainbow Six: Vegas

Has anybody played this game yet? I went to a friends house last night, and he and I played it for like 6 hours straight. The graphics and detail are pretty insane on it too. Like one shot and your dead.

Anyone else have some good war-like games to reccomend (or tell me some of your favourites because I am a little gamer at heart)

I've already beat the "Call of Dutie(s)" so anything besides that.

Gears of war is so fun! I love how you can run up to somebody and cut them in half.

I love the Rainbow Six games; specifically the planning aspect of the game. Beginners will often just treat the game like a normal first person shooter, but the planning is the most rewarding aspect.

Instead of running around aimlessly, you can have four seperate teams complete different objectives and then storm a room with hostages from different entrances at your command. One of my favorite missions from an older Rainbow Six was putting a sniper in a balcony of a room with hostages (a theater), and then having 3 teams storm in simultaneously with the sniper taking out the person pointing the gun to the hostage's head.

this planning mode is not in the Vegas version... so that sucks.

I like single players like Splinter Cell, God of War, Spartan:Total Warrior, Shadow of Rome....the only game that I like with more than one player is SOCOM:Navy Seals, but basically you are the only player controlling multiple subjects....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Crackdown is pretty good, more GTAish than factual like Rainbow Six, but it's really fun. It's like a live action comic book game, similar to GTA except you are the good guy in this one, but you can still shoot, kick and beat the hell out of anyone you want on the streets
