    That's 90% of his shit....

Did you see those nutty jesus preak pilifinos apterwards????
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I think lyrically he's the best rapper ever and perhaps the greatest musician ever.

I don't like a lot of his tunes though and his music isn't catchy enough for me. I also think his music lost a lot of its power lately, now that he's not angry anymore.

Yeah I disagree that he's the best rapper and greatest musician. I think the greatest musician should be someone that plays some type of instrument. Jimi Hendrix & Chuck Berry for instance come to mind for me. There are probably better examples. There are rappers who are much better lyrically. But Eminem's lyrics were cutting edge in the hip hop world and that's what made him so popular.

Please note the word lyrically attached to 'the greatest musician ever'.

He's by no means the greatest musician ever overall.

Eminem's lyrics are just more accessible to a mainstream crowd. That's the genius of it. When you think about it, he's not telling us anything we don't already know, he's just making it sound cool. As for greatest musician of all time.... Nawwww.

At the very least you should be able to play an instrument to earn that moniker.

I agree. And even the greatest rap "musician" would have to be someone with outstanding producing or technological skills such as Madlib, Dr. Dre, Rza and so on. That's just my opinion.

Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, early New Orleans Jazz musicians, Buddy Holly. I can't really think of who could be considered greatest musicians overall. Someone help me out.

Yeah, I should have worded it clearer.

I liked how he fought his way to the top despite all the racism he got from the black rappers. And even while at the top, he never became arrogant like most rappers. He stayed true to himself and never let anyone stop him from speaking his mind.

He's good, but I don't really like him. I bought a cd of his once called encore. I opened up the cd booklet and there were all these pictures of him shooting people in som concert hall. He's a good rapper but I have little respect for him. I don;t know him or anything, but I don't like what he sings about and the way he presents himself.

No, he is not lyrically the best rapper.

I think he was waaaaaay overrated, and I've been a white kid listening to hip hop since the days of Whodini.

But I think it's funny that he owes his success to the real groundbreaking white rapper. Vanilla Ice.

that is strange. I thought to be the greatest musician ever you would actually have to PLAY AN INSTRUMENT.

I like some of his songs, pretty good to workout to. I don't like how he seems to say shit just to start shit. Gotta admit though, this is a cool looking video.

I hear ya, but a musician can be defined by being a vocalist, i.e. their voice is their instrument.

Too bad diebold fucked the voters again.

I agree with his message, but those lyrics were subpar at best.

    i know.

but he isn't a 'vocalist'. he sings in a monotone. He is not singing a melody like Sting would for example.

I like K'naan because unlike a lot of rappers he raps about real world problems.

he is by no means a "great vocalist", but he does actually sing in some songs, probably not any you have heard unless you have his CD's.

he is however a genius with lyrics and marketing IMO.
