They have all sorts of things that can kill you spiders, snakes etc. I dont know anything about Aus but I know you can live like a king in Thailand for pretty cheap.

You have to have a marketable professional skill or be married to an Aussie to get in...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Wise man says: They have 'roos in Aus, meaning they have kangaroos in Australia. And the people there have big killer bumpers on their trucks to smash the so called 'roos to pulp if they dare to cross a road.

I already checked the job requirements and that is not a problem for either me or my wife. They also put a large emphasis on speaking English... I wish the US did that more.

What about cost of living? How much would I have to make to afford a 3-5 acre horse property with a 2500 sq foot house?

I live in South Australia. Its a nice place, not as busy as Sydney, but a relaxed place to live.

Do you have family or friends in Australia? It just seems like you would have to be very disconnected to want to move across the world.

Cool, someone who knows then. Are there properties that you can have horses at that are relatively close to major cities? How long would the drive be? How much are homes?
