Just like every movie for the past 6 years I'll just wait for it to hit HBO...
it seemed like 3 hours of senseless violence..and this is coming from a man who knows good violence..I was hoping the second movie was gonna be better than the first. The first was so boring..like shooting zombies. The second had Kurt Russell, a very reputable actor. The beginning where he takes the girl out on the joy ride was awesome; but the rest of the movie made no sense. i was sitting there thinking "what the fuck is going on?" anyone else get this kind of reaction?
Chuck Norris once lost his keys and couldn't remember where he put them. So he tortured himself for half an hour until he gave up their location.

Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012
I like Tarantino's old stuff: Killing Zoe, Reservoir Dogs, and Pulp Fiction.
Everything since then, I have not liked.
I did not like Natural Born Killers, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2 at all.
Actions, fighting, violence.
I think Tarantino lost his creativeness in 1. making a great story, and 2. writing.
Just My Opinion.
Because of has last works, I won't go out of my way to see "Grindhouse."
I heard it bombed in the theaters. So much so that in order to make more money they are splitting the double feature into 2 separate movies.
Personally, his movies annoy me.
I was hoping to see it when it comes out here (UK) but I've heard mixed reports too.
I love it when a plan comes together.
i know what u mean kurt russell gettin beat by 4 chicks come on! it was cool cause it was so diffrent but thats it
I hate all movies for like the past 5 years.

Actually Rodriguez nailed the genre pretty good. Planet Terror was almost a 10 in my book. The trailers measured up as well (Thanksgiving is hilarious).
Planet Terror is a run of the mill zombie, sexploitation movie at it's finest. It never breaks theme, which I majorily appreciated. It funny, it's senseless, it's missing plot, it has zombies, it's extremely over-the-top, even the music captured that era perfectly. He really, really nailed it.
Death Proof was a major let down. It's your basic 70's feel revenge movie. It finishes strong, but it's WAY too "talky" and WAY too self indulgent at the first and second act. Tarantino emulates pulp fiction moments and they don't work at all this time (partly because the actors DON'T pull it off). Using Zoe Bell as herself....I get what Tarantino is doing but too much of the movie is an in-joke. It doesn't help the audience and only the die-hard Tarantino fans or art-house types will consider it gold. To me it was trite. Kurt Russell was the best thing about Death Proof, but he isn't used as much as he should have been. Too bad.
Splitting the movie is a bad idea because Death Proof simply won't carry itself and will die an immediate death. It *could/might* have a chance if they give Death Proof all the trailers. I think Planet Terror is strong enough to carry itself.
The trailers have good and bad elements. Machete is good. Don't is kinda funny. Thanksgiving is gold. The Sybil Danning cameo was cool and fitting.

I love Rodriguez and Tarantino (except the Kill Bill volumes). I'm definitely going to see Grindhouse.
Awesome fucking time, perfect job by both guys. If you don't like zombie/ exploitation/ b-movies, don't go see it. I saw it opening night in an old theatre and it rocked, crowd was in it, almost had a cult feel. Faux, trailers were hysterical. I gotta laugh at all the people bad mouthing the movie calling it a cheesy, pointless plot. Well..... what the fuck did you think it was gonna be? It was supposed to relay the feel of an night at an old grindhouse.
Harvey "Weinstein" is upset with the box office and wants to split the movie..... What a shocker!
Classic car chase scene and it's all real, no cg. Best since Ronin.
I hope that donkey doesn't have a heinie troll!

i'm expanding my bruce lee collection right now. i have grindhouse but haven't watched it yet.
Don't look back ~ You're not going that way!
