Thread: Best pizza in town?

"The Pie" in Salt Lake City on the east side. they put like 2 pounds of cheese on the pizza plus you get to write anything you want on the walls.....and im not kidding about the cheese, the pizza tastes great but later on in the night you will feel like u ate rocks.

I also had really good pizza when i lived in germany.

Sam's on the Wildwood boardwalk. Best pizza on earth.

I've always liked Papa Gino's pizza. Ernesto's in the North End is booooomb too Ernesto's Pizza: Boston's Best Pizza

I'm a thin crust, New York style type guy. Not really one for the deep dish unique topping style.

Town Spa is nothing fancy ... just a clean, casual, and comfortable large pizza parlor. The waiting room downstairs feels like a rec room, with a bar and large screen TVs. The dining room is upstairs with large booths and historical pictures of Stoughton and the four major sports teams (redsox, celtics, bruins and patriots) on the walls. Atmosphere earns the gold plate.

This thick soup could use a few more clams, but it arrives hot, with lots of crackers and is quite tasty. The caesar salad is big enough to serve 4. Lots of fresh anchovies sit on top of crisp lettuce, tossed with a perfect amount of creamy caesar dressing and cheese. Appetizers earn a gold plate. I highly suggest you get the mozzerella sticks. They are sooooo good!

Pizzas come in one size only; a size most restaurants consider a small. But, we all get our own pizza and it is enough to finish the full plate. It's just so good that you will want to eat it all. The cheese pizza has a thin crispy crust and comes with a tangy red sauce, covered in hot, gooey cheese. It’s a little greasy, but not too bad. The mushroom pizza features real, fresh mushrooms. The veggies are well-cooked but not mushy. If you like wings, you'll love the buffalo chicken pizza. Thick, tender pieces of chicken marinated in buffalo sauce are cooked into a cheese pizza. My all-time favorite is pepperoni.

One drawback is that Town Spa does not serve dessert.

The waiter/waitress is a pro and is able to handle several tables at once. He/she knows the menu well and offers suggestions. His/her pacing is good, but sometimes it may take a while for them to check back with you because it can get very busy.

The price is right at Town Spa, earning a platinum plate for value. Pizzas are about 5 to 6 dollars. The large salad was just over 5 dollars, and the soup is under 3. Drinks, including beer, are under 3 dollars. Town Spa only takes cash so leave the credit card at home.

Overall, Town Spa earns a gold plate, and that's an excellent dining experience.

Dude, you've never been there? You're missing out! Papa Gino's used to be my all-time favorite but now it's my 2nd right after Town Spa. A few of my friends from school in NY came to visit me last summer and they did not want to leave only because they loved the pizza there. It's that good.

Shiz, you should be a restaurant reviewer, that was great!

I'm definately going to check it out I freakin love pizza. Bill's in Hopkinton, MA is also phenomenal. Ate a whole pie one time when I went to the Marathon starting line. Oh, and caesar salad is a must with pizza. Damn I'm ridiculously fiending a pizza now.

I always wanted the exact pizza that Kevin gets in Home Alone 2. When he walks out of the hotel to the limo and Rob Schneider and the limo driver are waiting and Rob Schneider opens up the pizza box and says "a lovely cheese pizza for you." It was this miraculous thing with a cloud of steam that rose when he opened the box. The perfect pizza.

For that New York-type stuff, Lorenzo's in Philly
For your gourmet-type thing, Pat's Pizzeria in NJ has the best Buffalo Chicken Pizza I have had.

For your "College, I'm-fucked-up-at-3am-and-need-a-pizza-place-that-also delivers-beer-all-for-under-$25-type of pizza, the Daytona Hot Grill in Daytona BCH. You used to be able to get 2 large 1-top, 18 chicken wings, a 2-liter of Schweppe's, and a six-pack of natty's for $24.95.

In St.Louis Stefanino's is fantastic!!!!!!

Huh...I live in St. Louis and I've never heard of Stefanino's. Where is it in town?

For me, the best place is Imo's near downtown St. Louis. Their thin-slice pizza is awesome, especially with their ranch dressing. Ohh, damn. It sucks being all the way here in Rochester with no car to go anywhere to get a good bite of food.

If anyone is in Brooklyn check out: Spumoni Gardens for the Sicilian and rice balls, Pizza Wagon for a slice. There is also Totono's (one in BK and NYC i believe) and a host of brick oven places. I love pizza, this weekend is gonna be a pizza weekend.

I heard in Utah the beer can't be over 3.5%. I visit every once in awhile to see my cousin on the way to Montana. Lot of LDS churchs up there too, its like that here in so cal where I live. nice people

Yeah, the beer is watered down, but that's okay, I can't stand beer. I like hard liquor. Which you have to buy from the state run liquor stores.

Yeah, the Mormons are pretty nice people. Just try not to swear around them.

It's funny, if you're car gets a flat, you'll get upwards of three offers of help in first 30 minutes from passerbys.

I have relatives in rochester and the pizza is well.......it sucks.

I ordered a pie once and they sent me a square pizza with barely no sauce nor cheese.


NYC and long island has some awesome pizza, under the brooklyn bridge they make some awesome pizza.....but they don't sell pies just slices.

I don't know how to describe that pizza but I guess I could call it "upper class" pizza.

LoL, yeah, no kidding. The only good pizza around here in Rochester is Salvatore's, but it gets boring after a while. It tastes the same.

Pepe's, Sally's, and The Spot...... pretty much anything on Wooster St in New Haven. Modern is good too!

In South San Francisco I Like eating at "Mr.Pizzaman"
Here in Hawaii I make my own though,When I was in Tonga,we made Horse Pizza's and cornbeef pizzas.

There is a Stefanina's in far West County. Maybe that's what he meant.

Imo's? That cheese is nasty. There is a reason why no one else uses it. For thin crust in STL, it's Fortell's or nothing.
