    Akon

    F*cking sucks.
I dont see how anyone can find him the least bit entertaining. He sounds like a twelve year old overweight girl.

Some guy is listening to him infront of me. I didnt know he could be that much more irritating until i heard him while i was trying to study.

I liked him before when a lot his musical was more political, and I like him now.

I'm sure you could do better though.

Well at least he's telling the truth.

Edit: But you're right, I don't really like that song in particular.

He's kinda like Nate Dogg. More famous for his choruses than his solo stuff. i.e. "Snitch" & "Soul Survivor."

Akon can be grouped with every other piece of shit modern R&B artist, like Usher etc. who sing (not produce- that requires ability) uninspiring, bland, processed music cd's, only fit for using as coasters for drinks.

This wasn't what I wanted to be
    A man in misery
Girl I look back a thousand times
And can't believe that you left me
    Why you leave me baby
Why can't you understand my pain
    How can I explain
Girl I don't know what I'm doin' wrong
I can't believe that your love is gone

Eh not really. Lil Jon is the most heavily sought after producer for the southern hip hop style or crunk if you wanna call it that. Everyone knows he can't rap worth a shit.

Singing wise I guess. He's part of the Neptunes, who are regarded as top of the game as far as hip-hop producing goes. So he actually works a lot and has talent.

Because it all sounds the same to me. Same irrelevant stupid shit over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. It's like country sung by "people from the hood" (which usually actually come from a small city suburban)

Remember when Rap and such first started to surface. Alot of people didnt like it because it would send out a message. Tupac for example, alot of his rap had a purpose. To get crime and that shit otu of the "hood"

Now itrs like "Bitch rub your ass on my lap while i drink Cristal and count my quarters"

I liek classic Rock. There was alot of political influence, and alot of drug induced influence. It hasn't changed much. Still alot of politically fueled songs, just arent quite as good as the classics.

As far as listening to music though i like vocal trance. I may seem like a hypocrite because some people consider that repeticious shit, but whatever. It helps me think. And i also like heavey metal, because I am angry alot and listening to angry music helps me sor ot vent

I agree that mainstream and hip-hop overall is past it's prime. I wish it would get back to where it was in the 90's. That's why nowadays you hear the expression "hip hop is dead" so often.
