Somebody poisoned me and im blind in one eye...forever...and the max i could get from that lawsuit is 40 000.

Me and two boys had to get kidney dialysis and all that jazz.
It's a long sotry but all the next day i was sick, and if i would have fallen asleep the next night i would have died.

wow, that's pretty crazy. Methanol is pretty toxic and is different from drinking alcohol(ethanol) becuase it's not metabolized in the body; it cannot be oxidized. What happened to the psycho who did this?

how ironic would it be if he got into an altercation and was strangled to death by a pair of pants....I dunno I would laugh at him....

Well we were 15
so the psycho didnt really have anything done to him. i could press charges now that I'm 18. but the sad thing is, is he didnt even apologize to me

The most seriously poisoned lose consciousness and die of respiratory or heart failure. those who do not die may stay in a coma for as long as a week and may be left blinded.

in summary, methanol turns to fermaldehyde and one of the first things it attacks is your vision

It was really scarey.
The other thing that makes me mad is that Dustins dad had found Dustin lying in like a pool of his own vomit. And the dad new right away something was wrong. So he took Dustin to the hospital and they literally just told him to leave because he just had a hang over and he'd be fine the next day. THANK GOD one of the doctors there suspected something and did a blood gas test and found out what happened...or we'd all be dead.

Was thrown out of Court Yesterday. Judge was ordered to pay court costs, for waste of time. The Defendants are filing a counter suit to reclaim there court costs of approx 100K

There's a state (region?) in Australia where they revamped their laws to discourage crappy lawsuits like that. It's considered by many to bet the best such set of laws on the planet.

I'd be satisfied if I got $65 each time I took my clothes to the dry cleaners...

First, if I remember right he is an Administrative Law Judge, meaning he doesn't necessarily even have a law license, in which case he couldn't be disbarred.



Second, this case doesn't piss me off at all. Bottom line, they fucked up an expensive suit, and they were probably rude about it. If they were apologetic, he is being a dick, but I really can't see that being the case.

People are pretty indifferent to others these days. They don't care about their time, personal property, their feelings, or their rights. Personally I think the world needs more law suits, not less.

So you're saying if you're a dick to someone, you deserve to be sued for $65,000,000?

They should have been charged the cost of replacing the suit plus some minor punitive damages maybe like $1,000 or something for putting him through the trouble... but THAT'S IT!

Dude, you can't be serious! 65 million for a fucking pair of pants? No sane person would agree with you. Also, I was not aware of what you call an administrative judge. I do not know the legal system that well.
