I will have sex with Isabella Soprano from the Cathouse before I die. If you want to do it for me and save me a grand, I'd love to hear stories.

    Have you tried Google?

If you move to Vegas, you don't want to live in the center, or north-central areas. We'll unless you speak Spanish or like gangs. Try Henderson. If you're rich you should try Summerland or at the foot of the mountain on the east side.

You should really wait until the housing market fall through and then buy a house there. Right now the prices are way too inflated.

Unless you're into nature (and deserts, at that) or gambling, you might not like Vegas too much. It's pretty much a cultural wasteland.

Oh, and they closed down the Mustang Ranch.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

My wife and I had a nice young female friend from Seattle who moved down to Vegas a few years ago. College student, good grades, great family, etc. We went to her nudy show last time we were down there just after she did a line of coke. Oh, she's also living with a guy who told me that he "banana peeled a guys skull", but got off the murder charges cause the cameras couldn't confirm it was him. Great city though!

    Thanks for the quick responses.

I've had my share of night life. I'm in Asia now, and there is nowhere in the U.S. that would compare when it comes to the nightlife.

My focus is on the overall economy, and decent neighborhoods.

I am not looking to buy but want to rent at the moment, because as DOMS states the housing is over-inflated at the time being.

    Thanks, again.

    A little more background.

I'm from the Seattle area, and would return to visit family, and then I'd rather relocate to a place with a 1) decent over-all economy/job market 2) reasonable COL 3) be close to my family in Seattle area.

Las Vegas fits the bill so far, but I'm am just checking for local knowledge.

henderson used to smell like poop. a tissue mill i believe but it reeked. there were bumper stickers "kiss me where it stinks, meet me in henderson"

a lot of the apt complexes near the strip were really nice and pretty reasonable. everyone needs to come thru a security gate to visit.

indian wells near the base of sunrise was very nice.

i also lived in the heart of holy shit look at all the mexicans and the worst thing that happened was a chihauhau chased our pit bull home n scared him half to death.

I watched a show last night showing what kind of homes you can get for certain amounts of money in different cities...

If I moved to Indianapolis I could practically live in a mansion with our $750,000 budget.....

Or I could live in a broom closet in New York
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

Many people shit on Indy, but living in Bloomington for the last year, I've grown to like it. I'd obviously prefer to be in Boston or Chicago but when you put it out there that you could live better in Indy, you have to atleast consider it.

If I moved to Vegas, I'd die of liver toxicity, heart failure, melanoma, exhaustion...etc...etc...etc...

It's way too fun there for me to move

    I would consider Phoenix though....

I remember driving down Pecos and wanting to puke.
