    possible?

    some kid on a rival football team is 17 and a little over 200 but everyone claims he squats 800 pounds is this possible? do you believe it. freinds of mine claim to have seen him.

    If it's true he's on roids or he's just a freak of nature. I've never heard of a guy 17 squatting 800 pounds.

    Probably complete bullshit, but there were two guys on our team that could squat in the 500s when they were 16.

    If they're claiming it then it's probably the full squat with 800 lbs they're claiming. I couldn't tell you for sure. I've seen a guy squat 750 at our school. Of course he was 18, 320, and went to the University of Texas for power lifting.

    Id ask myself:

    What range of motion is he using?
    Is he on gear?
    Are people actually adding up the weights on the bar correctly?
    Is he using a smith machine?
    Are any spotters helping him?

    If he is on steroids and using a quarter range of motion on the smith machine with the help of two spotters, add in the usual dose of high school rumours and exaggeration...then yes. He probably does squat 800.
