Let me start out with the appropriate smileys...
Ok, weve all heard this shit before, but today really got to me for some reason.
Friend A...she is on and off diets and working out constantly, but this time really sounded like shed pull through. She had motivation, ambition, excitement. She had a "boot camp" type of trainer at this old gym I went to that trains her for FREE. She was dropping off her daughter at the day care and going 3-5 days a week. Supposedly on a good diet too. WELP! She was having a hard time breathing so she went to the Dr. and he said she has asthma. His recommendation? "Dont workout as hard." Ok thats reasonable to me. Only shes "scared" of her trainer now and that he wont go easier on her. Now I hear the words "i think I can" rather than "I AM going to be skinny." She wants to avoid her trainer, she said her membership is up on June 18, her daughter is going to be out of school, and that shes worn out from the breathing shit.
Friend B...had surgery on a hernia. Since he was bedridden, bored, and sick of the way he looked in the mirror, he opted to start working out at my friends gym for FREE. I trained him a couple of time for FREE and got him into thinking about what to eat. He went to the gym 3-5 times and now just runs. He doesnt take in any protein besides what is frozen and that he can microwave or bake. (chicken nuggets, fish sticks etc). He drinks as long as he has the money to buy them (capt morgan & diets), never sleeps enough.
Ive got some other friends I can describe, but fuck it. I know everyone on here has heard these stories and know theres nothing you can do. I just find it extremely fucking PATHETIC. I seriously think there is something wrong with me. I cant think of this and not just think of disgust and embarrassment.
I had a herniated disk and I still managed to get to the gym. Ive had a busy schedule before and I still found time!
Its really made me wonder if I am hanging out with the wrong crowd. Besides Repro and I, everyone else looks and/or acts the same when it comes to a healthy lifestyle.
