Rap is the same shit over and over, not because it all sounds exactly the same, but because it's the same boring content over and over.

How many songs can you listen to about alcohol and girls before it gets old? I listen to rap but not every day. This fag Akon is no exception. I hear that smurf voice come on the radio and almost want to puke over the fact that he's making millions of dollars making music with SMURF voices for backup singers. I had a similar thought when some soft singer woman used "la la la la la" for her chorus... they're paying a woman millions to make cds and her lyrics are la la la? SCREW THAT get some damn talent.

The only real reason I'm sort of raw about it is the fans of that music who swear by it condemn the heavy metal stuff that I listen to. These guitar players show more talent in one solo than some rap artists show in an entire album. Not to mention if you actually read the lyrics, most of the songs (at least the bands I listen to) are very deep and meaningful, not just beer and bitches.

Don't think the soft stuff like Celine Dion and what not is much better, they sing love songs.... well that's still the same thing over and over. Sure it's better than the fluff about dancing in a club with sweat dripping down your balls, but singing about love over and over and over and over is just as symmetrical and unimaginitive as the rap songs.
