    Pop Up blocker?

All of the sudden I'm getting raped by pop-ups out of nowhere. I came back to my comp after about 6 hours and had to close out like 300 windows. Is there any free software or anything that can stop them?

you are the victim of spyware/adware, download, install and run spybot and lavasoft adaware, both are free.

he does not need a pop-up blocker, he needs to remove the scumware that is installed on his computer.

you need a good anti virus anti spyware program first. n yea adaware n spybot are essential. spybot gets things adaware misses but they work best together.

Any good free anti-virus programs that I can run scans with? Or is the one you posted that type of thing? I used to use Norton but my subscription ran out and I don't feel like paying the $40.00 to renew it. I must sound like a cheap bastard.

Dude, you may have to do same of this stuff from safe mode. If the pops stop without doing so, then party on, but if they come back you might have to do from safe mode.
