You know the Vatican has there priorities fucked up when.

    Vatican issues Drivers Ten Commandments

The "Drivers' Ten Commandments," as listed in the document:
    1. You shall not kill.
    2. The road shall be you a means of communion between people and not of mortal harm.
    3. Courtesy, uprightness and prudence will help you deal with unforeseen events.
    4. Be charitable and help your neighbor in need, especially victims of accidents.
    5. Car shall not be for you an expression of power and domination, and an occasion of sin.
    6. Charitably convince the young and not so young not to drive when they are not in a fitting condition to do so.
    7. Support the families of accident victims.
    8. Bring quality motorists and their victims together, at the appropriate time, so that they can undergo the liberating experience of forgiveness.
    9. On the road, protect the more vulnerable party.
    10. Feel responsible toward others.

I thought you were kidding at first....

It's not the worst list of suggestions in the world (but they shouldn't have attached any relation to the 10 Commandments to it because it just overshadows what they are trying to say).

Courtesy, charity, support, forgiveness, protect, responsibility....not the worst message to come out of the Vatican lately.

but yeah, the "10 Commandments" thing is just plain dumb.

Oh we have our share of bad drivers from where I'm from .... a well known fact is:

    yellow means "speed up"
    red means "and 2 more"

When I lived in the South, I asked someone once why people seemed to neglect using their turning signals.

The answer: "because it's no one's goddamned business where I'm going."

In Cwmbran road markings are there only to "look pretty" to most drivers.

When we have about 10 roundabouts per square foot this is a problem.

I have experience with Buddhism and people that follow it, and I find it to be an organization with the purest intentions. I have learned a lot from the Buddhist that I have had the pleasure to work with. I have also had the pleasure of meeting two high ranking Tibetan Monks that are now living in Alabama.

Most organized religions are self centered, and hungry for power. I have yet to met a selfish Buddhist.

I agree that there's nothing harmful about it and most (all) of their intentions are honest, but I think living a completely Buddhistic (sp?) life is silly. Nothing wrong with it, just not my thing.

Christianity on the other hand... I could kill some of those fucks. They're not all bad I guess, but I've yet to meet one I really like.
