That parade looks (from your pictures) like people just having fun. It looks nothing like the debauchery I've seen in other such parades.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.

Well, except for the fat guy in suspenders. That sort of shit should be illegal.

Yeah...it's a good thing no hetero bodybuilder ever gets up on stage and pulls his posing trunks over into his crack to flex the glutes....

Yeah, and look at how pro bodybuilders reputation among the masses has done so well...

Besides, bbers do it on stage, not in public. And it's also not done in a "Look at me, I'm a bodybuilder, accept my lifestyle." sort of way.

So are you trying to say that if a hetero has ever put on a g-string that it is the same as wearing one on Main street in broad daylight?

It isn't? Contests are open to the general public, including children. Some are held in outdoor venues, like public parks - one even held in an open-to-the-public cave.

Well, for one thing, that parade isn't on "Main Street," it is in the gay neighborhood of Chicago.

So heteros never wear g-strings in any public setting. . .except not in "broad" daylight (like the public beaches, for example) because it is illegal for them but not for the gays?

Again, it's on a stage in an indoor location where the people who are them came to see it, not on a street where anyone that happens to pass by gets the misfortune of seeing it.

And, again, the bodybuilder only message is, "Give me the prize money", not general acceptance.

And their message is also "look at me - I'm better" cuz they want the prize money and some will use any gimmick in their music selections (no sexual messages there?) for example. Not all contests are located indoors. Some are held in public parks and public beaches with all kinds of people walking, biking, riding, and driving by - and some watching. Are indoor contests age-restricted according to public attendance?

Only if you're gay. The judges, as far as I know, are all male.

The vast majority of them are held indoors. When bodybuilders go outside, such as Venice beach, they wear shorts. I know, I've been there.

I don't think there is a gender restriction. Maybe Prince can enlighten us about those rules.

Does it matter whether it is a "majority" of contests or not?

I see Japanese and European men at Waikiki beach with their wives and children in nuthugger bathing suits as skimpy as the one the man you posted was wearing, the worse thing is usually they have a beer belly...
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

this guys bathing suit is very nice.

n please, the victoria's secret commercials are all over the media, no one complains about topless women in carnival or hooter's and a girl at the beach with a wet skimpy bikini that shows her twat only gets praises around here. no one says "omg she's wearing that in public?!!! oh the horror"

I see where you're going with this, but it's not an apples to apples comparison to begin with. One is a sporting event and the other is a statement.

    A camel-toe is a statement? Since when?

And the "statement" come from the whole event, not just a single person.

wow, you take everything out of context for your comparisons!

-actually it is against the IFBB and NPC rules to pull your suit up your crack, it happens more accidentally while posing, although some do it and get away with it, however they are doing it to display their glute muscles, it is in no way sexual.

-who said all bodybuilders are hetero, I am sure plenty of them are gay.

-a bodybuilding show is a competition, not a parade about promoting the bodybuilding lifestyle.

-does a bodybuilding competition have anything to do with one's sexual orientation?

-a bodybuilding show is a private event that people pay to attend.

-if you have a problem with bodybuilding why are you posting on a bodybuilding board?

living on the 3500 block on N.Sheffield...I can tell you the Pride Parade sucked! (prolly cause I had to work and find parking and then wanted to rest in peace in quiet and could not b/c of the volume)

Its not that gay to be honest....there are just as many straight people that go to boyz town here. Obviously there are a lot of gay people though.

The public debauchery isn't that bad either....seen worse at frat parties

BTW, a 400lbs dyke puked on my front door...not cool.

I didn't have a positive experience from the pride parade this year...oh well, I'm moving to Phoenix next month.

I have no problem with anyone being "gay", just for the record.
