I think the best thing to do is just drive around all the parlours in your area and look at everything they have to offer. If theyre any good they should have a book of tatt photos of people theyve inked themselves.

Just get tesimonials off people aswell about the artist, obviously. The only thing worse than a tatt that you dont like, is a tatt you dont like that looks like shit.

I have a "tramp stamp". I chose my back simply because I can hide it for work. I chose a tortoise because I've always had a thing for them and I've always said I would wanna be one in another lifetime. Long story.

The best way to find an artist is to go into different shops and meet them. I had NEVER met one that I liked until I went into a local shop to get pierced. My piercer was awesome, friendly and made me feel at ease and when I saw that he had a great portfolio, I knew he was my man.

Here's a pic from the morning after I got it done (2 weeks ago) we just added highlights of white to the shell and face and added some shadows to the fern. I'll take a new pic in the AM after my swelling goes down a bit.

I found it! After searching online for 2 weeks, I finally found it. Its perfect! Its beautiful! Its sums up my life!

Also on a funny side story. I was just at the headshop talking to the tatoo artist about the one above. He settled on a day, time, and price. Then out walked one of the piercers. She also happens to be the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. She is short, probably about 105lbs, tanned skin, long black hair, with these perfect firm size c tits. She also has some cool bodyart work done. She had pierced my nipples, and every time I go in there she wants to see my nipples to see how they are healing. Today she asked me if she could take some pictures of me with her digital camera.

Now lets jump back 15 minutes. In the shop there are two long leather couches for people to sit while they want to get their work done. I'm talking to my buddy that hangs out there a lot about piercings and what we want to have done in the future. There were 2 teenage black girls there waiting to get their belly button's pierced who were listening in to our conversation. Naturally, they look at me and asked did my piercings hurt. Everyone I meet ask me that. My buddy was watching when I got the septum piercing, and he told the story about watching me have it done and how blood was pouring down my face into my beard. One girl sat down on the couch next to me and started talking about her tattoos, then stood up, pulled her pants down to the bottom of her ass crack to show the tattoo of her name on her ass cheeks.

I acted pretty matter of fact about it and told her the work looked good. As the 4 of us talk about bullshit or whatever the girl keeps putting her hand on my thigh. I would have probably made a move to try and hit it, but she had a bell shirt on and I could see stretch marks, so I'm thinking she can't be more than 19 and she already has pumped out at least one kid.

Now, back to the piercer girl. I asked her "are you going to put the pictures on the internet", jokingly. She said that she was putting together a portfolio with her clients, and the work she has done. I said "fine", and took off my shirt. The two black girls went crazy. One girl said "oooooh he is sexy!" I'm high has hell already. I found some weed under my bed this morning looking for my usb cable to my printer. I know I was probably turning 3 shades of red, but I was trying to be as cool as possible, so I just looked at them, smiled, and said "thanks". I couldn't make a move anyway with the piercer there, because I am trying to build some energy between us before I ask her out. I can't start running game right there. I started trying to get out of the situation is smoothly as possible. After I put my shirt back on, the piercer thanked me, and I told her "no problem, take it easy dude". Then the one of the other girls says as I turn around, "you better get outta here before we rape you!" I turned my head around and smiled at them. I couldn't think of anything to say to say to defuse that without sounded stupid. I guess a friendly smile was the best course of action.

I still have got to work up a little magic with the piercer girl. If I don't at least try, I am going to regret that shit to the day I die. I love the shop, and I have made some friends there...crazy mother fuckers like me. hmmm, I will have to go back for two more piercings when my hear heals, and next Monday I am getting the front delt tattoo. I'm pretty psyched about it now that I found one that means something to me.

thats always nice to hear comments like that from girls, even if you're not interested in them. I know what you're saying that if you don't do it you'll regret it. I've been there many times. all you have to do is ask her now.

Why is it right after you hear a word for the first time you start to notice it everywhere? I just heard Ouroboros onTV the other day and now here it is again...so weird...

Yeah, I felt like a million bucks when I left, not to mention how they may have helped me in my pursuit of this girl. I think when other girls are kissing my ass, and I play it off like I'm use to hearing it all of the time, it gives me a few extra points with the girl. I don't know. I am strategizing how to put myself in a good position when I think the time is right to ask her.

I'm actually a tattoo artist... I can try and design something custom if you want and email it to you...

My 18yr old daughter has been fighting for one since 16. Her rules were.. NO TRAMP STAMP! (on the lower back above the ass), no names, none on the arms, back, head/face, belly, or privates. She was very happy to get one around her ankle when she turned 18. I even payed for it. I did suggest that she get it on the bottom of here foot and even said I'd get one there too. No go on that. I like the one on her ankle. : )
