In leiu of recent news articles on the opinion of Bush, I'm starting an unscientific poll here.

He has some good ideas, but he always fucks it up.

Like beating the shit out of Iraq. That was a good idea. The perfect object lesson. Then he had to go an fuck it up by trying to spread democracy.

And then there are the times the very idea that he comes up with sucks. Such as amnesty for the Mexicans.

George Bush is a horrible screw up. Just like DOMS said, he had the right idea on many instances, but manged to fuck it up every time. I think he is the worst president of all times. I think he is greedy, evil, and incompetent.

The real problem is that it's not just him. It's all of the politicians that make it possible for him to create such monumental cluster fucks. And I'm talking about both Republicans and Democrats. Every time either party increases a politicians power, they both abuse it.

I agree with that, but I believe George is the worst. This is an opinion poll, so I am not submitting that I am right, only that I personally believe he is the worst judging from his decisions.

I think it got shot down by the repubs and some dems. The problem with Bush is he always wants to appeal to part of the left which ostracizes the people that put him in office. That amnesty bill is a prime example.

I think public opinion polls hate congress more then Bush, all those dems promising 2 dollar gas and immediate pull out, 7 months later they haven't done anything.

Gas was a buck a gallon when Clinton was president.

Bush sucks. Every goddamned thing he touches turns to shit.

The polls show that the public gives the REPUBLICAN caucus VERY low marks. The democrats' approval rating is much higher than Bush's.

The Republicans haven't had any problem using a filibuster on any legislation they don't like - which is pretty much everything. That's why it appears nothing is being done. . .well, and the sudden liberal threat and use of the Bush veto.
The Great "Decider" hasn't exactly been known as the Great Compromiser - instead he seems to celebrate being president for 20% of the country.

One of my friends, who watches Congress rather closely and is a Republican, says he thinks the Repubs will lose even more seats in 2008 and the Dems will then have one chance to do something. Otherwise, a growing number of people are going independent - which would normally mean growth of new political parties except in our system, where the two parties in power have built a fortification to ensure that power for themselves.

That is what the American people need to address. There is no Constitutional provision which calls for only two major political parties - we've just been trained to accept their hegemony until the majority of Americans no longer feel represented in their own government.

Bush has used the veto power what about three times and he has completely stalled the Democratic Congress. As for the filibusters they are playing the same game the Dems have played for years know.

I am 25. I pay my taxes every single year. I have never been late on a credit card payment or any payment for that matter in my life. I have been working on the books since I turned 16. I own a car and a house. I make a pretty good living. What pisses me off is that 32 cents of every dollar I make is taking away from me and goes to taxes. That is not including school and real estate taxes. I am the prime example of the middle class and I am getting fucked. People like me support this country so free loaders can live here, reproduce and not pay taxes. I try not to think about it to much. It just sucks. I think the people who work their asses off day in and day out should be rewarded. Not screwed.

Taxes will be there with or without freeloaders, we may pay a little less but there will always be a reason to be taxed.

You think in England there were freeloaders being taxed? The only freeloaders they had or actually still have were the Kings.

To be fair, in modern times, the royal family generates a lot of money as a tourist attraction.
