Thread: Dreams

I've had a few dreams within the past month that involved my best friend from age 5 until the end of high school. when we went to college we drifted apart, now I talk to him maybe once or twice a month via email, but he has been showing up in my dreams for some reason.

There really is no ryhme or reason to dreams, they are just wierd.

Like this one I had when I was a kid that scared the shit out of me so badly I still remember it vividly to this day. I was walking with some friends and we came across a baseball field with a fence backstop and on the backstop there were people just hanging on it all of them with very strange/wierd looking faces. I believe they were supposed to be dead, but they just had freaky faces on them and it scared me so bad, I think I had to sleep with my parents for about a week at the time.

Some of my stranger ones:

I dreamed I was pregnant. It was the most vivid dream. My wife was feeling on my stomach to feel the baby kick and we were so happy. It was the typical husband and wife first time pregnant scenario except I was the one carrying the child.


I dreamed that I was flying a kite, and the kite picked me up and took me into the clouds where I could see the whole town from above.


During football two-a-days, I dreamed that I had overslept for practice, only when I woke up, I was lying in my bed on the 50 yard line. The coach was screaming at me for sleeping during practice, so I got up, ran to the field house to but on my gear. The problem was my gear was in the washing machine, and the battery in the washing machine was dead. My old foreman from a construction job I had worked at walks in and tells me he will pull his truck up to the washing machine, and we hook some jumper cables up to the washing machine to jump it off.

I had one where i was sitting in the cinema with some friends, untill i decided to stand up, strip naked, and paint myself blue.

Once a herd of Rhino escaped (from where i dony know...) and ran riot through London. I, being an expert on catching escaped rhino, got the call from Tony Blair to sort it out - Pronto! Except i veered them towards 10 downing street in order to become the new prime minister and rule britain (cos everyone knows thats how british elections work...) suddenely i lost all the rhino, and also the entire population of London...

Another time i dreamed i was a melon. That was it. I was a melon, sitting on a shelf in a fruit shop watching what was going on.

when i first had Tesla every dream i had turned into "omg, where's the baby" i panicked if she wasn't in the dream. lately i dream about food, and for a couple yrs i dream of a certain person that i think is supposed to be a spirit guide or mentor. these all make sense to me tho.

once i dreamed i killed someone and i was trying to get out of the country. it was so real and intense that i started crying with relief when i woke up n realized it was a dream.

Shiz, your dream is your sexual system trying to tell you that if you go up to those girls and talk to the least attractive one out of the 4 you'll start a storm of jealousy which will enhance your chances of getting the most attractive one. The bus thing is probably your reasoning part of your brain to not take advantage of her though or you'll end up on America's Most Wanted getting chased by the police, if you had looked closer you'd have noticed that it was you they were chasing, when the girl realized that's when she turned slowly....

wow, interesting thought. Are you by any chance a psychologist?

Anyway, i surfed through dreammoods.com and i looked up key words that happened in my dream to see if there was any significance. This is what i got.

Ocean

To see an ocean in your dream, represents the state of your emotions and feelings. It is indicative of some spiritual refreshment, tranquility and renewal.

Girls

To dream that you are riding a bus, implies that you are going along with the crowd. You are lacking originality and are taking no control over where your life is taking.

Police

To see the police in your dream, indicates some failure to perform or to honor obligations and commitments. The police also symbolize structure, rules, and control. A more direct interpretation of seeing the police in your dream forewarns that you should avoid reckless behavior.

To dream that you are arrested by the police, suggests that you feel sexually or emotionally restrained because of guilt.

To dream that you are pulled over by the police, suggests that you need to slow down and take things down a notch.

To see or dream that you are a police officer chasing a felon, indicates that your naughty and more devious side is in conflict with your moral standards.

Chase

To dream that you are being chased, signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is often a metaphor for some form of insecurity. Alternatively, you may be running away from a primal urge or fear.

Manic, to add to what you said (which makes a lot of sense to me), the girl that i thought was attractive is actually true in real life. I have seen her around quite a few times on campus but never had the chance to find myself in a situation where i could talk to her and get to know her. I think my dream is trying to tell me to do something and take advantage of it before it's too late. Her friends are probably trying to send me words of encouragement to take that next step.
