    Protecting IE Cookies?

Is there any way to protect certain cookies from never being deleted? I like clearing out my cookies, except the cookies from my online forums, those I'd like to keep around. Which would prevent me from having to login every time I visit.....

When I used to care I went through once, hit control A then held down Ctrl and hand picked the ones I wanted, deleted the rest, then copied those remaining to a separate folder, after that I would erase what I wanted and then just copy and pasted the saved files back in....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I'm pretty sure that IE will override the read-only bit.

He could switch to FireFox, which has some great cookie controlling extensions.
So many cries of inequality stem from one of group
of people doing little or nothing and then bitching
about another group that actually does something
    to improve their lives.
