    tattoo nigthmare

Ok well I got a new tattoo a couple of weeks ago. What seemed to be a easy, small and very simple tattoo (my name in cursive on my chest)became a total joke, the guy who did it made some of the letters smaller then the other ones and the name was kinda crooked. This is my third tattoo and by far the one and only I dislike. Now I have to get another one to cover it and for sure I will do my homework this time to get a good tattoe artist.

I also dislike tattoos on women . Well back to the subject the mistake I made was not doin my homework on finding a good and respectable tattoo artist. There is nothin to fear about tattoos if your in the hands of a expert IMO, the person who gave me the tattoo looked unprofesional and since I had been so busy and that was my online day I had free time I went ahead and got it done in a rush. BIG MISTAKE.......well you live n learn.

why dont you get it removed? or does that not really work? also not trying to be an asshole or anything but most tattoo guys dont really look proffesional. they look like white trash at least all the ones on the TV shows and ones i have seen.

I have three tatoos on my arm and all are well above my sleeve line. I researched every tat artist and asked people about them and made them show me porfolios of thier work before I let them do it. I probably won't get another one.

Why would you get your name tattooed on your chest? Is it case you forget who you are?

Sorry you had such a bad tattoo experience. Did the artist show you the design before putting the stencil on and going over it? Or did he freehand it?

not to get off the subject to much, but i keep telling katt to get a tat of a barbell with 3 plates put on her chest. that way in 20 years it will look like it is bent and look really heavy.

    Priceless.

I have 3 tattoos so far, but none of them have letters of any kind. I used to design tattoos for people when I was in high school. I never liked words and letters because it's very tough to make them look good on skin because it expands and contracts, and then there's the curvature of whatever surface you're putting it on... it's just a bad idea to do letters.

It's a big deal to research your tattoo artists because of the permanence of the whole ordeal. I am from California and there's only one place I'll go to get ink done. Last year I took 2 weeks of leave and few to California to spend $300 to get a tattoo. They were booked for a month solid so I couldn't get it done.... but I didn't go anywhere else, I'm going to wait and call ahead and get it done there. Believe me, it's very important.

I only let friends do my tats. My first one was done at my friend Sunni's home, my second was done by my friend Jack who works at Hart & Huntington in Waikiki. I think I'll have my friend Matusse do the 2 rampant lions I want on the backs of my arms....

Do what min0 did, he had an awful tat of his name on his arm and he had another tatoo placed over it.

The downside of coverups is that it has to be black.

    ditto.

I regret all four of mine...not painfully regret but I just flaunt them like I used to. i'm very glad I can cover everything up with a Tshirt though.

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. I just got my first one on my shoulder about a month ago, and I love it. It took me 3 years to figure out what I wanted, and the tattoo artist was pretty good, so I have something that means a lot to me and looks good.
