    using coupons to buy food

using coupons to buy food, not bu food

at Hyvee here, they have a little Chinese Buffet in it, and I get it every so often, but the last few times I went I used a coupon and got a lot less chicken(sweet & sour mmmmm) than normal, this was like 3 times in a row...So the next time I go I say something about it and ask why they are being stingy on the chicken

and they asked if I used a coupon those times that I got less chicken, and I said yes, and they said that is why....They were told to put less chicken in for people who use coupons...

Wtf kind of shit is that? Have to love big business huh? So technically Im not using a coupon to get the food cheaper, I am using the coupon to get less food and paying less for it....

They have sizes, if I wanted a small I would pay for a small....

    meh, fuck shady business practices

I would wait until they fill your order. I know my buddies who worked in restaurants would poorly serve people with bogo coupons because the people would tip the price of the one meal instead two.

that makes some sense I guess, this is a buffet though and no tipping, I always get it carry out actually, but I will definitely order first and wait till the order is filled before I mention the coupon next time

I actually understand more of your friends situation in wanting a bigger tip for himself, but for a business to do something like that because of word from management to do so is really shady in my opinion, and makes me wonder what else Im getting more ripped off on

Hmmm....maybe that's why some take out places require that you tell them you have a coupon when ordering.

Was the Chinese place run by Jews?

Some Chinese people are worse than Jews, alot of them can squeeze a nickel between their butt cheeks and make 5 pennies....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I used to sell mattresses and the chinese clients were the absolut worst ones. I would have an item marked on the floor at just above cost to get rid of it and right away they would say "you give me more discount" It's marked at 6o% off as it is and they would not be satisfied with this. Crazy. After a while I either would not help them or would just tell them no and if they didnt like it there were plenty of other mattress stores around.

These will also be the first people to complain and want a refund or replacement item.

Another group was east indians. One guy got mad when he said he could get the same item for like 1/2 price across town. I told him that sounded like a good deal and he should take it to save himself some money. He got all mad because i called him on it and stormed out while cursing our customer service.

Arabs will work you to death but will buy something if they get a good enough deal which i respect. They know how the game is played and respect it.

I can't imagine being that cheap and have to work every sale to death. I like a good deal but I couldnt live like that.
