(A) The number of doctors in the U.S. is 700,000
(B) Accidental deaths caused by physicians per year are 120,000
(C) Accidental deaths per physician is 17.14%

(B) The number of accidental gun deaths per year, all age groups, is 1,500
(C) The number of accidental deaths per gun owner is 0.001875%

I seem to have landed on yet another thread that bashes doctors. Where are these statistics from? And how is accidental death defined. You see with medical technology so advanced, the trend has been to point fingers when someone dies because it was obviously someones fault. Doctors don't know everything, but they sure as hell know plenty more than the person with an average education. Don't hate on doctors because they are some of the most important and valuable people in society.

I'm not trying to argue anybody here, it's just that too many people expect doctors to know everything and they bash them for bad reasons. There are bad doctors out there but it's certainly inappropriate to generalize.Knowledge is Power

in actuality a parent is much more of a threat to the life of a child than a pit bull is.
over the last 37 years an average of 9 children a year have been killed by dogs. on average 1,100 children are killed by a parent each year. why are we scared of dogs?
the sad truth is the dogs and our children have more to fear from us.
