    The official fantasy football thread

I think I had a pretty good draft. Keep in mind I'm in a 16 team keeper league.

    QB
    P. Rivers
    M. Schaub

    RB
    F. Gore
    L. Betts (will be starting by season opener and great trade bait)
    M. Lynch
    M. Turner (If LT goes down he'll be ridiculous, if not he will get me a first rounder for next season because he will be starting on another team next year)
    M. Robinson

    WR
    T. Owens
    A. Johnson
    V. Jackson
    D. Stallworth

    TE
    V. Davis
    E. Johnson

    K
    Who gives a shit

    D
It's not Chicago, San Diego or Baltimore so once again...Who gives a shit.

Rather then spending an early pick on a defense, I go with the match up philosophy. So my D right now is Detroit, only because they're playing Oakland week 1.

You got to love Rivers for what I did last year, for what Tomlinson will do again this year, etc. but I really like your back-up in Schaub. He may still have the same problems that Carr had last year with Houston's offensive line being so shitty, but I think he's a better all around quarterback and I've had my eye on him since he was a Virginia Cavalier.

    M. Robinson

Gore's sick, Betts is solid, Turner is a back-up at this point. I like your running backs, but I've seen better.

    WR
    T. Owens
    A. Johnson
    V. Jackson
    D. Stallworth

Owens could be good or he could be disastrous like last year. I love Andre Johnson, Vincent Jackson could be a stud combo with Rivers passing to him, and Donte Stallworth is a usual stud but he'll probably be a fantasy dud as a product of the Patriots system.

    TE
    V. Davis
    E. Johnson

I'm trying to get Davis. I'm interested where you drafted him and what kind of league are you in?

I have picked up Larry Johnson and Carson Palmer in my 14 team draft last night. I couldn't believe Carson Palmer lasted that long.

I haven't had a draft yet and one of them is going to run right up until UFC 74 so I might dip out after the bulk of it. I also got "drafted" by a friend of mine to go to his live draft because of my drafting skills. His wife is due any day and that's the projected night. Fun fun.

As far as Vernon Davis went I think I got him in the 5th round, but he'll likely go later in most drafts. I had 9 picks in the first 5 rounds so I was able to take guys I wanted a little earlier then they probably would of went.

It's a 16 team keeper league, so my two keepers this year were F. Gore and Owens

I love keeper leagues. Gore should be a stud for the next 2-3 years. Solid pick-up.

Yeah, the Gore Lynch combo should be good for a couple years.
