A little free advice. Never try a sub in a bar. Everyone has a friend that wants to kick you in the face with his steal-toed work boots. Go for the KO or the no-mas.

I was really poking fun at Royce himself. If he had to fight the fighters of today, I doubt that hed win consequetive championships.

I would think the reason would be because bar room floors are the nastiest places in the world, followed by theater floors....
Coarse edged youth, the irish pendants string from their smiles
not yet plucked as to slacken the seams
and drag down the features of age,
no folds or creases from unkempt wear
    eyes of tranquilty, crystalline-beads
no sign of despair in their hair, nor their hearts
but oh they have yet to be experienced and that makes aging so very worth it...ML circa2012

I was referring to the first ufc's. For proper bar fighting techniques I listen to Bas.

    Generally, yes, but not never.

There are some situations in which a submission can be used very effectively.
