You never heard an expert say Gonzaga had issues with his weight an no ... it didn't give him problems. His cardio was great, but his nose was not so great.

Guys like Pedro Rizo have problems from getting fat and losing their conditioning. Gonzaga had noo such problems.

Oo. so your saying gaining weight is bad if you lose your conditioning, but if you gain weight mainly muscle but dont lose your conditioning it is favorable. like if two people have the same conditioning but one s 240 8% bf and the other is 300 pds 8% bf then the heavier one will generally win. (both have around the same training)

how about you go to a weight that your body is still really athletic and quick with.

    40 time: 4.51sec march 10th 07

The best answer I can give you there is to not ever mistake genetics for conditioning. Krazyhorse Bennett looks ripped but his conditioning sucks. Fedor looks fat but he can work all day long.

My answer to the question of weight is if conditioning isn't lessoned by the added weight AND your power to weight ratio is still high than it's all good. Look at Holyfield. He went up in weight. He went up in weight class too and he ruled for a while.

Ohh and 300 pound guys seldom do well past the first 30 seconds.

Look at your boy Sapp ...

its the same thing with any sport though. look at kobe bryant. he said he lost 20lbs and gained a lot of quickness and now they are talking about the great defense he is playing for team usa.

in fighting you want to look at your body type. dont ever sacrifice conditioning though.
